New York and Barbados Multi Centre

From the Big Apple to laid-back Barbados

We love talking holidays and we're here to help. If you'd like our advice on how to create an amazing New York State holiday, just give our Destination Specialists a call.

New York is known as the city that never sleeps, the setting of many television shows and films you have to visit this city at least once in your life. We all know the iconic sights, spend a day capturing these on a hop-on-hop-off bus with your camera at the ready. Away from the tourist heavy landmarks, we recommend venturing into lesser-known neighbourhoods with still plenty to see and do. Walk along the cobble stoned streets of the Meatpacking District, bursting with an array of chic bars and restaurants, art galleries and the High Line Park, a peaceful elevated park built on top of a former railway. Take the subway or walk into Greenwich Village, where everybody's favourite TV sitcom Friends(R) was filmed, the tree-lined streets are now home to jazz clubs, cafes and off-Broadway shows. In a stark contrast to the fast-pace lifestyle of New York, Barbados promotes a 'take it easy' approach and is perfect after a stay in the city. Passionate about their food, on a Friday evening head to Oistins where tourists and locals blend together as well as the seasoning on their fresh catches of the day and appreciate local music and a friendly atmosphere. For those looking to relax, and rest their feet after New York, dip your toes in the crystal blue waters, take strolls either as a couple or family along the white sand beaches and enjoy the warm Bajan temperatures and hospitality.

Our Experts Recommend:
  • For a hop on hop off bus tour with an interactive difference, take a ride on The Ride NYC
  • View the skyline above Ground Zero at the One World Observatory avoid the queues with priority admission
  • Take a tour of the historic St. Nicholas Abbey, a former sugar plantation
  • Discover the Mount Gay Rum distillery with a tour and of course tasting opportunities

New York City

Iconic, unrivaled, and fast-paced, New York is both overwhelmingly chaotic and outrageously romantic. This is the town where fashions are started, cuisines are born, trends are set, and fame is made. We love experiencing the excitement from the bright neon lights of magnificent Times Square, the giant, glittering billboards of Broadway, to the laid-back, leafy oasis of the city, Central Park. Whether you take the sightseeing bus tour, hit the streets on foot or even try taking a boat cruise, there is no bad way to see ‘the city that never sleeps’.

Barbados

From fast-paced New York City, take the time to relax and unwind from a perfect city-break in the stunning paradise of Barbados. With it’s friendly faces and sense of fun, there is no warmer welcome than a Bajan welcome and the island’s vibrant culture make every visitor here feel instantly at home. Soak up the lifestyle as you play cricket on the beach, or visit one of the island's 1,500 rum shops, where locals will share a rum punch, a chat and a game of dominoes. Try any of the magnificent beaches and trade the rush for slow and easy, leave the stresses of life behind and enjoy the good life.
