Texas is cowboy country and what better way to saddle up and experience this than with a Fort Worth and Dallas twin centre holiday. Enjoy the first four nights in Fort Worth, with a rich history it became an important trading post for cowboys. Today it is a modern metropolis, with gleaming skyscrapers and modern technologies yet it still promotes its history well. Take a visit to the Fort Worth Stockyards home to famous rodeos, the National Cowgirl Museum and see the Fort Worth Herd - the world's only cattle drive that goes twice a day. Families can enjoy a host of activities including the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze, the Stockyards Petting Zoo or younger explorers will love taking a ride on the Grapevine Heritage Railroad. Compliment your stay in Fort Worth by visiting the city of Austin for a further four nights. Packed with things to do you may want to extend your stay further. Known as the 'live music capital of the world' appreciate the sounds of all the live bands and singers that create a mixture of sounds to meet everyone's tastes. If you want to extend your stay in the Lone Star State hire a car and visit other Texan cities or alternatively hit the road and head to an authentic ranch for a true cowboy experience.
