A great starting point to see the best of the Cape.

No Standard, Out of Standard, Not exceptional.


I stayed at this hotel with an employee discount. I called ahead of time and asked what were the standards for the rooms as to amounts of beds using the employee discount. I was told that the rooms would only have 1 bed. I was traveling with one guy and we did not want to share a bed so I booked the two rooms. When we arrived and checked into the hotel we went to my room and noticed that there was TWO queen sized beds. We went back downstairs and cancelled the other room. I was told that my card would be refunded the amount and the agent apologized for the confusion. Me and my friend only stayed ONE night in my room because the rooms and noise levels were not what we expected from the reviews. Time goes by and I'm charged for both amounts(both rooms) even though I was told I wouldn't be. I called and was told it was authorization charges. it stayed for a week and I contacted my back and disputed it as a double charge. Then HERMAN(who told me he was the General Manager) called me and ask questions. I answered them as they were asked. He said ok and he didn't understand why HIS agent didn't notate the ISSUES OR CALLS(my hotel LOGS every call, every move, ever situation or issue that a guest may face). My bank then charges me the 154.00 again because "the hotel provided proof of me staying there" Durrrrrrr I stayed in ONE room, so I called back and asked about it. Dania(She talks low so I'm not sure if thats her name)said they had housekeeping record of me being in the room, They never sent me a copy of those records. I called back and ask to speak the the General Manager(who's never there because they are renovating the hotel)and was told no. I asked them to go back and look at the video footage from the hallway, I was told "We don't keep footage". That's definitely not an IHG Standard. I'm just frustrated that these "managers" would lie on a hotel already with a bedbug reputation. I would not suggest staying here. Honesty is always important and from the managers down to the employee's honesty is a lacking.

Standard Hotel, great breakfast

I was with a group that stayed here two nights. The bath in my room 147 has been updated, but basically this is your standard Holiday Inn. My room had free wifi and a safe, room service was available, and it was nice to have a mini refrigerator in the room. The highlight for this hotel was the breakfast - lots of choices and really good food.
