great location

The W hotel is one block away from Boston Common. It is in the middle of the Theatre District. One block from the green line. The rooms have almost everything you need for a short break (the paid wifi is a major downside).

Not good

The Check in was very unpleasant. The on-site manager reached out prior to check in and informed will try best to accommodate to check in a bit earlier. That of course did not happen. I store my luggage at the front desk and later found out the check in desk staff just put it aside without any attendant. The manager wrote an email asking the experience of the stay. When I wrote her back regarding the issue, she never replied. As a platinum member, they assumed to give points over breakfast. This has been one of a few unfortunate experience with Marriott branded hotel and would not recommend this W.
