Hilton Hawaiian Village

The only resort on Waikiki Beach

Set in 22 tropically landscaped acres, Hilton Hawaiian Village is literally a resort in it's own right.  The paradise pool which boasts Waikiki's longest waterslide and overlooks the five acre lagoon also houses four slides, three waterfalls and two heated spas.  There's also a whole host of entertainment, both sporting and cultural, and a mouthwatering choice of over 20 restaurants.  Not to mention the stunning white sands brushed by the waves of the Pacific Ocean.  Why not opt for a room in the oceanfront Alii or Rainbow towers where you can be assured of the best views!  Please see facilities for details of local resort fees and relevant updates.

Beware of check in and check out up billing

Upon arrival the reception told me I would be in the Kalia Tower city view. But for an additional $130 a night I can get an ocean view in a different tower and then can watch the fireworks. The problem here is that I booked an ocean view room originally and I was leaving on Friday so I would not see any fireworks. I had to pull up my HH app and reservation that showed I already had a ocean view reservation and show the receptionist. . Then the receptionist said well I can get you a different room for $80 extra with a better view. I said no, I just wanted the original reservation agreement. She seemed put out. Then on check out I used express check out and placed my keys and all the cards (room, towel, DVD) in the envelop and put in the box. 2 days later I get a $20 charge (for towel cards) I had to call the billing department and say I used the express checkout as directed and the cards were left. The charges were ultimately reversed. Overall, I felt that all these fees and upgrades were just a scam and a way to pad the bill. I felt Hilton was dishonest and manipulative. I have stayed here in the past and always felt the check in process was somewhat sketchy. But this stay was over the top bad. I don't think I will stay again.

That view though! 😍

The view from the room in the Rainbow Tower was to die for. I didn’t even have to go out on the balcony. I was able to watch the sunrise and enjoy the sound of the waves in the morning when I opened the door before I went to work. 🥰
