The only resort on Waikiki Beach

Set in 22 tropically landscaped acres, Hilton Hawaiian Village is literally a resort in it's own right.  The paradise pool which boasts Waikiki's longest waterslide and overlooks the five acre lagoon also houses four slides, three waterfalls and two heated spas.  There's also a whole host of entertainment, both sporting and cultural, and a mouthwatering choice of over 20 restaurants.  Not to mention the stunning white sands brushed by the waves of the Pacific Ocean.  Why not opt for a room in the oceanfront Alii or Rainbow towers where you can be assured of the best views!  Please see facilities for details of local resort fees and relevant updates.

Great Staff but really needs a refresh

Washington DC, District of Columbia

My wife and I stayed at this resort for 6 nights in January. I had stayed at this place 19 years ago and thought it was amazing - expensive but amazing. This time around they have added more towers. We stayed in the Diamond Tower. The staff are all great and Hilton should be complimented on how well they represent the company. The shops in the area are very good as well. Frankly though, Diamond Tower is in desperate need of a refresh. The carpets are old, the bed wasn't very comfortable, the chairs weren't so hot, some of the finishes in the room and elevator were in sore need of some paint and we had to have maintenance come to fix the non-draining sink in the bathroom, housekeeping to replace the non-working coffee machine and they never did fix the ice machine on our floor. A friend who was also staying here had to have his television replaced. I will grant you they were Johnny-on-the-spot in fixing the room deficiencies but it sure needs a refresh. As I understand it the resort has over 2,000 rooms so there are a lot of people walking around all the time. As you would expect in Hawaii, the restaurants at the resort are very expensive and I didn't think the food was very good.

An experience

Hamilton, New Zealand

Staying in this hotel was definitely... an experience! A very different type of holiday for us - we wouldn’t usually stay somewhere where so much is on site, but we embraced what there was there. So the site itself is MASSIVE. We stayed in the Tower section, but there are lots of different hubs and a monorail that takes you around the main site. The lagoon is beautiful as are the resident turtles. If you just want to hang out by a pool all holiday - great, you’d love this place. There’s also a shuttle that takes you to a little mall with a few restaurants and shops. However, I would definitely recommend hiring a car as we did - the island is stunning and why not see a volcano/ kayak with wild dolphins/ snorkel with beautiful marine life in clear waters/ visit coffee plantations/ trek waterfalls while you’re there? This hotel is expensive - hiring play equipment at the pool, snorkels, eating etc, and we were prepared for that. It’s a Hilton, after all. Stay there, embrace the experience that is this entire village created by Hilton, but see the island too. It’s stunning.
