Amazing property!

Dallas, Texas

We loved this property for our family of 16 - three generations with 8 kids ages 1-8. we had 6 rooms and they managed to get us all connecting rooms in pairs. THe 5 pools are great! The one for the toddlers is great and has it's own water slide. Connected to it is a larger, deeper pool for the older kids with a much longer slide. We used these two the most, but there are some for adults only. The staff took good care of us, and when I used a concierge (Jake) to book us a glass bottom boat tour (which was also amazing), he passed me in the lobby me the next day, called me by name, and asked me how it was. I also felt like I'd befriended a desk clerk (Dawn) whom I also got to know and she'd been there 28 years! Our only glitch was not getting the luggage to our rooms quickly when we arrived. We had some babies that needed bottles and such from a suit case and it took 30 minutes to arrive!

We Enjoyed Our Stay

San Diego, California

My wife and I went resort hopping in Maui (Westin, Ritz, Marriott) and this option was great for Bonvoy members, especially if you have a Suite Night Award to use in low or mid season. We stayed in an absolutely stunning corner suite in the Ocean Tower. Very nicely remodeled, modern, and right over the beach on one side and near the pool action on the other side. Our best room of the trip. The breakfast buffet included for us due to our status was much appreciated and hard to find as an offering among Maui Marriott properties. Parking was also heavily discounted likely due to having status. Could use a few more things to do on the property, but looks like that might come post-completion of the hotel remodel. Construction was very intermittent and did not bother us much. It was well voiced before my booking thru Marriott's website so no surprises for us there. All (multiple) pools open, and we enjoyed the water slides and snorkeling at the next door Sheraton property along Black Rock Beach. Maui is pricey but a nice option for those that can fit it in their budget.
