Nice resort, but a couple feedback items

My wife and I stayed 7 nights. Overall, we really enjoyed the quality, quietness and service at the resort, as well as the great beach. Probably one of the best and soft walking beaches on the island... a little nicer and more private than Kanepali. The food was overall really good as well, especially Moromotos. Just can't beat that. I'll spare you all the other things we liked about the resort, as we would not disagree with the many other reviews. A couple things we found not as great: Rooms: although nice and new, they are very stark and almost hospital clean. No pics on the wall except for over the desk, and those are leaning on the desk they're so low. We prefer a little more effort on the decoration. Also, very little drawer space and places to put stuff. The closet is big enough, but no drawers under the TV to unpack. No tub for my wife to take a, but a super wide shower... just kinda weird. Breakfast buffet: We bought the Costco package (which we highly recommend by the way) that included the car and breakfast. Problem is, the buffet was nearly identical every morning. This was the first resort we've stayed at in Hawaii that did not vary their buffet each morning. Got really bored with it, and over $50/person, you expect more. Same price or more compared to the Westin, Sheraton and same as the Grand Hyatt on Kauai, and in each of those examples the breakfast was very different every morning. Service: Not quite the same level of customer service as other Hyatt properties. The managers did not proactively follow up when we had a couple issues. Again, overall pretty good, and a great beach with many included activities. We expected a bit more considering the price. I felt we got more value for the money at the Westin and more nicely appointed rooms.

Stellar service, cleanest beach, and beautiful resort!

My first visit to Hawaii and we stayed here for 5 nights. When you arrive valet greets you with lei's. As you check in a personal host offers fresh lavendar lemonade (best I ever had) and tells you about the resort and amenities. The rooms are beautiful with both sheer and black out curtains. The resort is well kept and the beach was the cleanest I have ever seen. No woodchips or broken shells. Beach service is provided, the hosts set up your chairs with towels and umbrellas. Beach toys, snorkels, boogie boards, and paddle boarding are included. Pool service is also included with chair set up, towels, and umbrellas. There are several infinity pools and a children and adults pool. The rooms have chips, macadamian cookies, coffee, creamer, and bed service. The staff are very friendly and offer shuttle service. I love this resort and will be returning. I recommend this resort for a family or couple get away! You will absolutely fall in love too!
