Not a trustworthy business

Pensacola, FL

I had an offer from another site regarding $84 per night stays to this (Resort?). I called direct and talked to a man about the reservations and he said they were correct but that the other company charged a booking fee and that for $92 per night I could book direct with him. Included in this deal was daily breakfast and WIFI. I booked for the days of arrival 11/21/2017 and check out 11/25/017 Reservation #202278812. When we arrived I checked in with a young man at the front desk who quickly advised me that my reservation did not come with breakfast nor WIFI. I expressed to him that this was not correct and he said who did you book with? I told him with the Westshore Grand to which he replied that they did not do bookings as they were handled by an outside agent. i requested that I be given a return of my money and was told once a reservation was made it was non refundable. The person running the front desk on this night was an extremely arrogant person with the personality not befitting a motel 6. Sure enough we did not have WIFI and we sure did not receive breakfast daily which ruined our visit with our Granddaughter for Thanksgiving. The morning of the 25th. As I was checking out the young lady asked how we enjoyed our stay and I went through everything about breakfast and WIFI. She replied that all rooms have free WIFI and my reservation did show breakfast. She then gave me two tickets for free breakfast as a jester of good faith. She also advised that at any point a customer is dissatisfied they can request a refund and get it. I am sure Westshore has a list of whom was on the desk that night and knows this arrogant person they had on duty. This man, I guarantee will never bring a repeat customer to this business and if I owned this place he would be released from his duties with this location. We did enjoy our one breakfast but still fill we were shafted for 6 breakfast (2 X 3 days) and 3 1/2 days of WiFi with each being worth a little over $135 for a total amount of us being taken of $270. Anyone wishing to do business with this RESORT be aware! make sure everything you pay for is stated on your reservation, keep a copy of it to insure you receive what you pay for. i have settled how I will handle my next visit, it will not be with The Westshore Grand!

Improved from Intercontinental

Boston, Massachusetts

This hotel used to be the Intercontinental. In many respects, it looks the same. One huge improvement: the fridge in the room. Under the Intercontinental, the fridge was stocked with (very expensive) snacks and the room was automatically charged if anything was removed (or just moved). Now that it's the Westshore Grand, the fridge is still there, but no more snacks and no more fear of accidentally getting charged if you merely touch something. Definitely an improvement!
