Great Stay if You're Dining at Bern's

Fort Myers, Florida

We stayed here for one night as part of a weekend birthday celebration which included dinner at the famous Bern's Steakhouse which is conveniently located across the street. The hotel has a food and wine theme and the decor is a wonderful blend of industrial (think loft) and contemporary. You're greeted by a hotel employee with a tablet in hand to check you in, escort you to your room, and pour you a glass of the wine of your choice. It was a wonderful introduction to the hotel. The rooms are good sized and modern. There was a comfortable chair, a long built in counter with plugs and ports, and nice counter stools where one could do some work, or have another glass of wine! There are several bottles on display with the price attached, along with a well stocked mini bar, beautiful glasses and flutes. The bed was comfy and the bathroom had a huge shower with a rain shower option. Breakfast/brunch the next morning was delicious with several options from avocado toast to the usual eggs and pancakes. It's the perfect place to stay if you're a foodie and love wine.

Absolutely best hotel I've stayed at in Tampa

Washington DC, District of Columbia

This property is fantastic - from the room decor to the dining to the outer grounds, gym, pool, and neighborhood. I love the whole wine motif - I can't recommend it highly enough. If travelling solo, hit Bern's steakhouse and dine at the bar where they usually have room. If coming as a couple or group, you'll need to make reservations 4-5 days in advance. The lobby bar has a great menu - try the brussels sprouts and tuna tartare for dinner or the beef hash with fried onions and sunny side up egg and their take on super V8 juice for breakfast. The lobby has complimentary wine for guests at times and it's pretty good! Your room will also come stocked with a pretty great selection too. The lobby also sports a classy sophisticated wine/spirits store with a strong offering from across the world. And if that's not enough, Bern's across the street again has a wine cellar claiming half a million bottles including vintages from the 1800s and by the glass from the early 1900s. Gym is good for a traveler - several treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, free weights from 10lbs to 50lbs, two leg machines, a core machine, and a multi function cable rig for everything else. Pool is long enough for laps. Outer deck is sunny. The restaurant downstairs films cooking shows which are super fun to watch as a bystander. Rooms are very well equipped, the TVs have ports for HDMI and audio/video, decor is relaxing and spacious. The local neighborhood has tons in walking distance - try Fresh Kitchen or any of the other great spots. I'll always stay here when coming for work in Tampa again. Also - it links with your Marriott account, and Military/Government rates are available over the phone. Note - the only way to park overnight is a $20 Valet so budget for that.
