Best Hotel in Orlando

Mortara, Italy

I spent a week in Orlando and I found this hotel beautiful, confortable with good service.I suggest the hotel to people that need to be close to fair center, just 5 min with skywalk to arrive into exhibition. The hotel have a good wi-fi, swimming pool with a lot of bar and restaurant inside. Only one note, the last top floor 23rd have a noise due to the air onditioning plant so I suggest to take a middle floor rooms. I will return for sure in this Hotel

Acceptable but not great

We stayed here for a week for a holiday. Hotel is about 25 mins drive from Orlando international airport. After the long wait at customs we decided to take an airport taxi for convenience as we were exhausted and couldn’t be bothered waiting any longer. This cost $58 without tip, worth noting that the Uber we took on the way home cost $26 so well worth organising this. Check in was very easy, staff were courteous and professional. Hotel clean and tidy but a bit dated in the decor department. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Location was very convenient and the I-ride trolley has a stop in both directions right outside this hotel which you can use to get all around international drive up until 2230 hours. We bought a 5 day ticket for this for only $9 each. The buses come every 10-15 mins. This hotel has a few places to buy food but they are expensive and the food isn’t of a great standard, I would recommend going out because there are many places close by which are much more reasonable and the food is way better. There is a Walgreens, red lobster, Denny’s and dunkin donuts within a few minutes walk of this hotel. Our room had a fridge which was handy for storing drinks etc. Air con in the rooms is noisy but works, noise didn’t bother me much. There was a vending machine and an ice machine on our floor. This hotel is linked to a huge conference centre so many of the guests are on business related trips, so it is quiet which we enjoyed. There is no bottle opener in the room and we were charged $5 to have one sent to our room. The free guest WiFi is rubbish to be honest. I didn’t pay for any other WiFi and refuse to, every hotel in this day and age should provide free wifi of a good standard for all their customers. I don’t think there is any excuse for this, it is just a money making exercise for the hotel. I had to pay $15 for the week to access the gym, again I think this should have been free to guests. Pool area is small for so many guests and we found that there were no sun beds most days. Lots of people also left towels on sun beds that they were not using, preventing anyone else from using them. The hotel staff did not take any action in relation to this. I would stay here again, but only if I was getting a very reasonable rate because there are many hidden extra costs when you arrive. This would not be in my view a luxury establishment or for a special occasion. We did have a few drinks in the hotel bar, they were very expensive. Service was slow or non existent and on one occasion we were given our drinks in plastic cups which i was very unhappy about. Check out is 1100 hours and the free WiFi is cut off from that time on the day of checkout!
