A great place to start is the Baker Museum, home to 15 galleries, a glass dome conservatory and a Persian Ceiling created by glass artist Dale Chihuly. If you fancy a spot of high end retail therapy you are in luck, find Gucci, Tiffany & Co and Luis Vutton at The Waterside shops, however if your budget is a bit more conservative, Naples Outlet Centre is the perfect place to bag a bargain. Dinning out is a real pleasure and offers everything from the fine dining at Truluck's on 4th Avenue South to the family run Marco Island Brewery where you can enjoy craft beer and a bite to eat at the Island's largest sports bar.

  • Delnor Wiggins Pass State Park

    Set within manicured greens in the Naples Beach Hotel, Naples Beach Club Golf Resort runs parallel with the Gulf of Mexico and is Florida's only beachfront hotel with onsite golf. The 18-hole golf course was voted Southwest Florida's best public course and offers a driving range, putting green, equipment rental, pro shop, and professional instruction.

  • The Everglades

    Located a few miles north of Old Naples and separated from the mainland by tidal creeks and mangrove swamps is the barrier island that forms Delnor Wiggins Pass State Park. This is one of the most popular destinations in Naples thanks to its long stretch of powdery white sand beach offset by tropical foliage. The beach is popular for sunbathing, swimming, snorkelling, and picnicking. Bring a kayak and explore the estuaries flowing throughout the area. At the north end of the island, a tower offers spectacular views across Wiggins Pass.

  • Shopping

    Naples is bordered to the east by the Everglades, the USA's preserved wetlands. To catch sight of some alligators, crocodiles, and maybe even a Florida panther, head to the Gulf Coast Visitor Center in Everglades city. Boat tours depart from here throughout the Everglades, giving you the chance to view these creatures up close.

  • Marco Island

    Enjoy the upscale shopping of Naples' boutiques, galleries, and antique shops. The best shopping is at Fifth Avenue South in Old Naples, where you can peruse smart shops and restaurants; or head to Third Street South, which is dotted with sculptures, fountains, and over 100 fine clothing shops, gift boutiques, and galleries. For truly sumptuous shopping, head for Waterside Shops, where you can choose from the finest names in luxury retail set amidst 30,000 tropical plants and a cascading waterfall. Sample the award-winning dishes at the restaurants dotted along the palm-lined waterfront.
