Great Malvern, United Kingdom

I absolutely loved the Bakers Cay Resort. It feels really smart as well as relaxed at the same time. The breakfast in the Calusa was excellent and the bar (with live music) was really cool as well as welcoming and the food also great. The barman made my husband his own recipe cocktail which was fabulous. He was so friendly. Our room, third floor with a sea view in the Hammock wing was just stunning. We had a junior suite including a balcony and generous bathroom. Love the refillable product dispensers. (Much better than the single use bottles that get thrown away as soon as they’ve been opened). We sat mostly on the Hammock beach as we enjoyed the quiet of sitting under the mangrove trees watching the fish jump and an iguana taking a stroll, but the other beach was lots of fun too. My favourite hotel in America so far I think.

Pretty property, major renovations not sure I'd go back.

I went down for a quick weekend with my husband. The renovations are lovely and it is a true " resort" with amenities a plenty. That said, it is not for everyone. The pros: They have two pools, one specifically for adults and on for families. Pool bar and waterfall. They have daily activities and float's at the beach. Restaurant and bar onsite. Books, pool table, ping pong, yoga, bike's to ride and fishing poles to use. Bed was super comfy and the pillows delightful. The cons: there were kids and dogs everywhere and though they have a place for dogs " down by the hammocks" it is poorly marked and in the morning I could see everyone walking their dogs where the kids would be playing frisbee and bocce later on. The prices are crazy. $7 for a bud light? and the breakfast buffet is $25 a person but if you are a Hilton Honors member they credit you $38 for two ( but you still owe money??) Seems strange. Overall if you are looking for a lovely, family friendly resort in the Keys and money is not an issue, check it out.
