Birthday fun!

Spent the day at the resort and everything was amazing. From the moment you walk in the decor is beautiful. The grounds are so lush and well groomed. The beach is a small paradise of beautiful water. We had lunch at Dry Rocks and everything was delicious. We will be returning soon-can't wait!!

Phenomenal beach, excellent service!!

New York City, New York

First of all, everyone should know this is an easy and scenic drive from MIA. I am writing this review from our room. We booked 4 nights and have enjoyed three already. This review will be semi structured... Grounds: The property is hidden just off the road (Overseas Highway) and is bayside. Reception is beautiful and grand. From the parking lot you enter an open air covering lined with benches/chairs and hanging lights; a jungle in front of you where for the first time you catch glimpses of turquoise...emerald... azure. Two large wooden doors to the right gently open up welcoming you to the lobby, which is nicely appointed and a good indicator of the decor throughout. Nothing feels heavy or old here. The color palette compliments the natural surroundings and the furniture is modern yet comfortable and functional. I believe the intention is for the decor and furniture to deliver you to nature and not to distract. The pool area is adjacent to a small lawn for bocce ball and other games. The pool has a bar, an adults only side, hot tub waterfalls and music whilst all surrounded by thick foliage. Fronting the resort is the fabulous coconut beach and hammock beach split by an enchanting jungle walk. The beaches are phenomenal!!! I challenge you to find better on Key Largo. They are maintained well, sandy, littered with palm trees and home to a tiki bar. The surf is great and easy to swim and play in. There are chairs, towels, kayaks, SUPs all for guests use. Service: One word - INCREDIBLE! Staff seemed generally happy to be at the property and wanted to ensure your good time. This sort of spirit is what really makes a difference and ultimately what brings people back. We must brag on a few fine folks. RANA was so happy at check-in that it seemed contagious. She helped us secure a fantastic room! MARQUICE was our second interaction, at Dry Rocks overlooking coconut beach, and his joy and lively manner was perfect - it carried on each day too! SYNDY at Calusa, for dinner, took such good care of us including some dietary restrictions we had and was just so friendly - thanks! We enjoyed ALISON’s service daily at breakfast at Calusa - she was very accommodating. Last, but not least we must thank Jessica the F&B Director for helping me blow my Wife away with some birthday surprises. The level of hospitality at Baker’s Cay cannot be understated. Random Thoughts: You could dine here 3 times a day, daily, during your stay and not be disappointed. They serve on the beach as well. Nearby is a CVS and Walgreen’s. Some other dining options exist nearby if you want to venture out. The hotel offers great activities right from there beach, which we recommend, however John Pennekamp State Park is only 3 miles away. We stayed in a one bedroom suite at the west corner of the westernmost building on the 3rd floor. It was quiet. The room had a spacious shower, soaking tub, his and hers sinks, a LARGE balcony with chairs and fabulous view of hammock beach. The room had a lounge and dining area - new LG flatscreen in bedroom and same in the lounge area. We are already planning a return :)
