Limited a bit, but do what they do well!

Glen Carbon, Illinois, United States

This is a bit of a unique property. If you are not staying at a condo on Sanibel, this is the place to be. Located right by the bridge, it is a quick drive/Uber to anywhere on Sanibel. The hotel is a bit unique with the layout. The fitness center is in an difference building a few hunderd yards from the hotel. Parking is tough, if you do not valet, you run the risk of not being able to park by the hotel and have to park a couple hundred yard away. The hotel is NOT on a beach. There is not a beach within walking distance from the hotel. Most drive over to Sanibel anyway. The pool is nice, full service bar and restaurant with attentive wait staff. The rooms are a bit dated, but big and have nice views of the water. (our room here was a much better view than the JW on Marco). We did have an issue one day with towels, they did not leave any and took two calls to get them. We did breakfast in the restaurant, very good buffet. Also included with a stay is the 'resort fee'. You do get to 'check out' chairs, boogie boards, and umbrellas to take with you to Sanibel so you do get some value on that. Overall, they did a nice job and would stay here again if in the area.

Great location but the hotel is a bit dated

Midland Park, New Jersey

Was here for a wedding but a bit disappointed with the hotel. The views were amazing and the pool staff were awesome, but that might be where I stop with the praise. We had a light out in our bathroom the entire trip, so we were basically taking a shower in the dark. The towels were pretty rough, both the room towels and the pool towels. When you walked around the resort you could just tell everything was old and needed some attention. Even a fresh coat of paint would help. The main pool was closed one of the days which was quite annoying given the other pool didn't quite get sun during the day. Oh, and if you want to visit the spa, take a golf cart, definitely don't walk.
