Quick winter get away

The staff here were great! We arrived late & our requested room was not available. The next day Diane got us moved to the correct type of room & was super accommodating! The hotel was at capacity but we never felt crowded. The grounds are gorgeous & the restaurant staff were awesome as well. I would stay here again!’

We booked a suite for 3 nights in January 2020. On arrival we were accommodated in Captiva Tower, despite requesting a suite in the main hotel. This annexe felt like second-rate overspill accommodation and has no facilities except a swimming pool. As with many others' comments we had many minor complaints, nearly all relating to housekeeping. Examples: we had to request seat cushions for our balcony chairs four times before we received them. For a suite we were provided with only 1 bar of soap and 1 tea-bag! We were invited to a manager's cocktail reception but no manager was there and we were offered a choice of cheap wine or beer The additional $25 per day "resort fee" is an insult and should be included in quoted rates...as older guests we did not use any of the so-called resort extras. As a Marriott Rewards Titanium member and Marriott Vacation Resort owner, I found this resort hotel to be sub-standard, particularly compared with their hotels and resorts in Europe and Asia The only saving grace was that most of the staff were friendly
