Escaping the winter blues

Just had a great time at the W, everything was good during our stay and especial thanks to Raul Lopez, director of guest experience who went out of his way to make our stay exceptionally amazing..... If there is an improvement the W can do is to enlarge their gym, is a bit small for such large hotel

Nice room and location

Muskego, Wisconsin, United States

Wife and I spent our first night in Ft Lauderdale at Ritz Carlton, then joined our corporate getaway group for 3 nights here at the W, things better at W, bigger balcony with a comfortable loveseat, a much more updated room, easier access to the tub/shower, and an on-site Avis. Things better at Ritz, no wait elevators, shorter walks to your room and FLAWLESS SERVICE! Ritz advertises itself as a luxury hotel, with service to match. The W advertises itself as an upscale hotel, example of subpar service, I called their “whatever, whenever” line at 9 pm for a bath towel and extra pillow, I called again at 9:45, I called again at 10:30, I called again at 11:00, at 11:15, hallelujah! Should never take four phone calls and over 2 hours to simply get a pillow and towel delivered to a room at a $300+ per night hotel. On a positive note, Raquel at The Living Room bar made an awesome run punch and was delightful, the food was very good. Both hotels offer a wonderful beachfront location, and are great choices.
