Must be managers last day

Canton, Georgia

I just checked into the hotel the young lady at the front desk was very friendly it was only her second day. I mean diamond member with Hilton so I asked if I could get a room upgrade. The young lady went to the back to check with the manager. A few minutes later and manager came out and he told me that they would be more than happy to upgrade me as he looks for the computer for an upgraded room. What I had requested was a room with a view of the water. He told me I had an upgraded room smiled. When I got to my room it's a first-floor room with a view of the tree in the pool in the background on the opposite side of the hotel from the intercoastal. I called the front desk thinking it might be a mistake was told the manager was on a conference call I have just spoken to him five minutes prior. I then called back and was told the manager was off property. I called back a third time and was told he was helping a customer and could not come to the phone. All three times I left messages asking him to call me back and he never has called me back. I stayed at this hotel over 20 times when in town on business but this will be my last night here. I would've left the hotel yet I have a dinner meeting and have to change and get to that. Sad when one manager can make a great hotel so unimpressive. I can only hope it's his last day and he is intentionally trying to alienate repeat business customers.

Great hotel experience

From the start of getting out of the taxi 🚕 people very friendly at front desk and at the restaurant. Concierge service helpful but did not recommend the Water Taxi which had a stop out their back door practically???? They did know of the nearby Catholic Church St Sebastian. Room very clean with complimentary coffee/ Tea . Outdoor pool excellent with towels for daily use. Nearby bar with bar foods always busy!! Fitness center had a few treadmills and cycles so do not expect Planet fitness. Walgreens walking distance as well as seafood restaurants. Great view of the marina. A great two days prior to our cruise!
