Nice visit

Memphis, Tennessee

I stayed here as an overflow hotel for a conference at the Marriott. I was very pleased with my room. They offer a “green” program where you can opt out of housekeeping for the day, and if so, you receive a $5 food and beverage credit. It worked great for me since I’m not really keen on having someone in my room. They have a nice outside pool area and hammocks on the beach. The actual water is about 500 yards away, but an easy walk. I would stay here again.

Staff are the Best Here

Norwich, United Kingdom

We had a really lovely holiday. Arranged from the UK with Virgin who were excellent as usual. We also had no delay through immigration or at the car rental – all very quick. The staff are the best thing about this hotel - all so friendly and helpful without exception. They seemed to really enjoy being there and nothing was too much for them. Pool area great, very well equipped, lots of sports equipment, beach wonderful. For those who say the walk is too long, that is not true at all – and you can use a buggy if you have mobility problems. Also used the excellent gym. Beach beds and umbrellas horrendously expensive – how can someone pay $35 for two beds and a shade! Plenty by the pool though. Loved the Jolly Trolley which is free of charge and takes you from the hotel entrance all along the coast to bars and restaurants. Hotel has huge car park. We ate in all restaurants and bars - drinks and food all very good. Prices were as expected, not silly. Main restaurant lacked atmosphere as there were so few visitors using it when we did. WIFI always good - never let us down. As other people have said, the general decoration of the rooms and hallways need modernising - all very tired. Room big but looks like the 1970s. Think old Laura Ashley wallpaper! Shower too low in the bath for anyone over 5 foot! All very clean and tidy. Immaculate throughout – inside and out. Would we come back – Yes – just book it - you will have a great time.
