Loved it! Great location

I really enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont. It is located in a very central spot, near Michigan Avenue and right across from Millenium Park. Staff was friendly and very accommodating when we asked for an early check in. Room are spacious, beds are comfortable and toiletries are high quality. My only two suggestions: #1 Breakfast should be included for all rooms, I think the price of the hotel merits a nice breakfast. #2 I was annoyed by room service knocking on my door at 8am to make the room; granted I forgot to hang the privacy tag on the door but 8am is a bit too early to bother guests. Other than that.. it was a very nice hotel and we would stay there again.

Business class hotel in a great location

The Fairmont is clean and its service is crisp, but it does not live up to the Fairmont standards of its other properties. The Fairmont in San Francisco, for instance, makes its Chicago sister property look like a Holiday Inn. Still, it's a very nice hotel and it's in a great location. Biggest downsides were its limited dining choices (no fine dining) and horrible wine selection in the lobby bar, restaurant and even in the Gold Club. I walked across the street and bought better wine at CVS than the Fairmont offered.

The employees make this hotel!

Let’s get into it, first the location. This hotel is in North Wacker. I have been to Chicago many times and was a bit turnaround about where I was, BUT realized it’s a quick walk to Michigan Ave settled between Millennium Park and the Water Tower so it’s a good location and steps away from the River walk. The building itself is a little dated but they make a good effort to keep it nice. The rooms were nice they offer great views of the city. If you can request a higher floor. The beds were a little firm for me but that’s a preference moment. It’s the Service that makes this hotel. The people were 5 stars every single person I encountered regardless of their position were friendly, hospitable and outstanding!! Service can always make or break an experience and the people at the Fairmont are awesome!!

Just another business hotel

Reception desk: the person carrying out the check in process was rude and rushed. Did not get the same service as the person behind me who, collected points, and despite the hotel being completely full, were able to get an upgrade. From our party who checked in, one person was placed on the top floor, the other on the 6th...not sure how that worked? Again other interactions during the week stay were not as friendly and courteous as one would expect. Check out process did not involve any human interaction. Had to wait over ten minutes for someone at concierge to turn up in order to collect luggage; embarrassing that reception staff just watched customers waiting. Room: pleasant enough for a business stay. Le Labo toiletries which were replenished every other day. Inconsistent daily cleaning service. Restaurant: breakfast was oily, pastries slightly dry, and service took too long, tea was not hot. Would suggest going round the corner for brekki. Gym: good size, open 24hrs with room card. Mainly cardio machines. Good location. Just over half hour from intl airport.

Great stay at a great location

WE stayed at the Fairmont Millennium Park , Friendly and courteous staff, the room was clean and tidy , check in and check out very quick.We stayed in the Gold club section of the hotel as we usually do when we stay at a Fairmont. In comparison to other Fairmont hotels we found the Breakfast and cocktail hour was lacking in choices and quality - temperature of food was not as good as what we had had in the past.
