There are reasons why hotel ranks #113!

Summit, New Jersey

I am practical enough not to expect much from behemoth hotels that cater to conferences. Most of the time I am pleasantly surprised and book them for a non-business stay. The Washington Hilton will never fall into that category. The front desk teased us with the we’ll send you a text “as soon as the room we assigned you is ready” for close to three hours. Finally, we were offered “another” room. It was the last room in the hallway. Small size, with thin towels, scratched furniture and a prominent stain on the seat of the one upholstered chair. (The Hilton Garden brand may have been better.) The TV did not work for over an hour because their provider is Direct TV which the front desk conceded does not work during inclement weather. There was a thunderstorm. The lobby Wifi did not work. The bell captain could not locate our bags. He let us into the room to look for ourselves without checking ID which made me uncomfortable with their lack of security controls. If you need to attend a conference here, stay at another hotel and take a taxi.

Rooms were great, but hotel was freezing

I was here for a Realtors convention. Very lovely hotel, the only frustration daily was how cold it was in the meeting rooms. Great walking distance to great restaurants and shops. The food outside the hotel was better than inside the hotel. Although, the french toast was fantastic in the Sidecar restaurant. All staff were friendly in the hotel as well.
