The name has changed, sadly, but the quality has stayed the same.

Long Beach, California

This year we skipped the Sunday brunch mostly due to cost. We did still visit the dining room for lunch. We missed breakfast, they stop serving breakfast at 1000. :( Food was satisfying, service was good. Atmosphere is everything. Will visit again. FYI: The brunch is definitely worth checking out, just be prepared for the cost. I do not recommend mimosas, way too expensive.

Don't bother unless you fit their image of wealth

Brisbane, Australia

My review is for the front desk staff only, as I stayed at the nearby Yosemite Valley Lodge. My husband and I stopped at The Majestic to join the scheduled 2pm hotel tour. As we could see no signposted meeting point, I approached the front desk to ask. I was polite, and well-presented, but not visibly within the typical demographic profile of the hotel's guests, and so clearly unimportant to the staff, as two saw me and ignored me. I stood there, waiting until it wasn't possible to ignore me longer. My simple question was met with an abrupt and rude 'What?' The hotel is beautiful, and our tour guide Miles was excellent, but I could never recommend a stay here.
