Sequoia National Park Holidays

Home to General Sherman

This park is truly like nothing else you will see and is really a one of a kind place of uniqueness and mystery. In the middle of Sequoia National Park sits the famous Giant Forest which is home to some of the Earth's largest trees, including, General Sherman,  the largest in the world which is standing at 275 feet high and 100 feet wide. Believe it or not there is a tree that you can actually drive through, so make sure you find it.

Sequoia National Park is adjacent to Kings Canyon National Park and the best way to see both parks is by getting up close by hiking so you can take in the impressive sights; there are short trails that are easy to follow or there are trails that will take you days to get through. If you don't include this park on your adventure in California you will regret it. Explore the underground Crystal Caves where you can see a landscape of glittering marble geology or go high and take in the panoramic views from atop Morro Rock.

If you did want to understand the ecology and natural history of the park then make sure you visit the Giant Forest Museum. From there you can actually take an easy one-mile stroll through the Round Meadow.
