Light hearted yet sophisticated ambiance

The Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf boasts an excellent location close to the waterfront at historic Fisherman's Wharf, a short walk from the shops and restaurants of Pier 39 and the ferries to Alcatraz. Cable cars on both lines stop outside the hotel, so getting down to Union Square or further afield is easy as pie. Rooms are modern and chic with bright accents to match the colourful vibe of the Fisherman's Wharf district outside. There's plenty to keep you entertained on the Wharf, but if you venture further south you'll encounter San Fran's famous hills and will no doubt be keen to relax in the hotel pool when you get back!

Great Location

Auckland

We stayed in San Fransisco for 3 nights before flying back to NZ. Its not cheap but all hotels in San Fransisco seem to be expensive so off set that against its location one block from Fishermans Wharf then I think it's a fair price. Check in was easy and friendly and well before the advertised time. We had a room on the ground floor facing onto a back street but the double glazing ensured that we didn't notice any noise. The hotel is apparently undergoing renovations but I have to say I did not notice them. I think our room had already been upgraded and was very clean and tidy. The window blinds provide privacy and block out any light and the bathroom while small was fine and a good pressure from the shower. The service staff kept our room very clean and tidy. If there was an area to improve its the aircon which is not a small machine and takes up space. Our flight didn't leave until late evening so we arranged a late checkout at 6pm so we could have a shower before flying, there was a charge for this but I had no issue with that and it was great that despite being very busy the desk staff managed to accomodate us. Being close to the wharf everything is a short walk away which is great. I felt this was a great hotel and would happily stay here again.

Average standard - good location

Lancashire, United Kingdom

Photos on website don’t reflect the hotel Hotel currently under renovation (which I hadn’t seen on the website) really should advertise this. We were up and out early every day so the noise didn’t really affect us Check in and out was very efficient - lobby area very pleasant. Staff were friendly Gym small but well equipped Pool isn’t as shown on website - it backs onto the roadside which would be noisy Bathroom - quite basic (possibly partially refurbished) but black mould around edge of bath and wash hand basin (no excuse) If you want a fridge in room there is a fee Air conditioning was extremely noisy and difficult to get to desired room temp Room relatively clean (but lacking attention to detail - corners and skirtings not the cleanest) Towels poor quality Mattresses comfortable but pillows very poor Safeway supermarket across the road - very well stocked. Try to avoid going after 10pm as there are quite a lot of drunk/homeless people hanging around which was a bit intimidating (especially if you have children with you). Safeway security did frequently move them on. Would not return to this hotel, probably higher ‘4*’ standard hotels in same location !!
