Don’t Stay Here...But If You HAVE To, Be Sure To Pack Your Earplugs

Santa Barbara, California

The nightly room rate ($350/nt) was ridiculously overpriced as was the parking fee & the $27 resort fee. The $27/$36 parking fee is absurd considering there appeared to be ample parking available in the area. The resort fee was worthless mid-winter as the pool slides were turned off & they dont let you know golf is complimentary prior to arrival so...yeah I didn’t use anything, and couldn’t have anyways considering I was there for a training that was being hosted at the hotel. In regards to room quality, I had one of the worst hotel experiences of my life as my room in the Lido building might as well of not had walls. I could hear EVERYTHING in the other rooms on my floor. I had to download a white noise app to be able to sleep & that barely helped. Every night I was awakened by other doors opening/closing, screen doors opening, my neighbors TALKING, my neighbors clothes hangers being moved around, etc. That doesn’t even touch on the fact that at 7:00 every morning my room would literally shake nonstop from the airplanes taking off. I seriously might as well have slept in my car & saved the $1,350. Just to clarify: I AM NOT A LITE SLEEPER. This was a terrible sleeping experience. I don’t think the English language can fully capture how awful it was.

Great location beautiful setting lots of opportunities to relax.

We stayed at the Hyatt for a Conference. the staff was very friendly and the rooms were beautiful. Wonderful location and great facility but plan on eating off site if possible. The property is immaculate and well kept. Several pools and a fitness room available along with outdoor sitting areas leisure spots and plenty of relaxing nooks. The only issue was the overpriced bar and food offerings. This forces a person on a budget to seek food and beverage elsewhere which is not easy if attending a conference. The food for the conference was excellent but again very overpriced.
