Great “Home Base” to Explore Tahoe

Rogers, Arkansas

My wife and I recently stayed here for about 5 nights for a sort of “babymoon” before our first child gets here. We had an absolute blast, and loved just about everything about the hotel. Pros: Location - Incline Village is beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. Staff - Every staff member we encountered was so polite, and genuinely seemed happy to work there. Amenities - beautiful grounds and beach, nice fitness center. Dining - the three dining options (Tahoe Provisions, Sierra Cafe, and Lone Eagle Grill) have great food. Room - we had a Mountain View king bed room, and although it was nothing amazing, it was comfortable and exactly what we expected. Cons: Parking - We arrived on a Saturday night around 8:00pm, and wanted to send park for $18/day. There was literally not one available spot. So we ended up using the valet for our trip, and the additional charge for the valet and resort fee was over $400 when we checked out. A/C - admittedly, I am incredibly hot natured. The room was around 72 degrees when we arrived, and there was no option to cool it down other than to turn the A/C unit off and let the room cool slowly, or to open the window, since their central system was set to heat. Small thing, but the first night was a little uncomfortable. Overall, the Hyatt was perfect for what we wanted - a sort of “base” from which we could explore the Tahoe area.

Great Place but Pricey with Sneaky Costs

West Chester, Ohio

First class hotel and restaurants. Staff are great. While the room price seems reasonable, the "hidden" costs of $37/day for resort fee and $22/day to park is a shock. The room rate may still be reasonable for the additional $59/day though. We thought so but others might not. Food is pricey but delicious. $4 for coffee is high but the coffee is good and they offer a to go cup for those who have no limit on coffee drinking. Casino was not depressing like many, clean, and while they allow smoking, did not seem smoky but it was slow.
