Harbor View Inn

only had one night here and wished we had more, we had a lovely spacioius room with a balcony and a massive comfy bed, hotel in a great location for beach and amenities, the pool area was very nice too. staff all very friendly and helpful.

I have never felt so compelled to leave a negative review as I do for this establishment. Do NOT stay at this hotel. The staff and in particular the GM "Mark" were beyond rude and unprofessional. "Mark" had terrible bed side manners for a GM and considering he is running the hotel is enough for me to highly NOT recommend anyone stay at this hotel. We have stayed a several other Santa Barbara Hotels that provided us with much better customer service and hospitality. There are far better options out there people, do not use this hotel, you will be disappointed.

My husband and I took Amtrak from Seattle to Santa Barbara and wanted a hotel close to the station. We chose Harbor View Inn and we loved it. We walked 2 1/2 blocks from station because we were ready for walk after being on train for two days but they will send valet with cart to help with luggage if you call. Our room was lovely, with a balcony over looking pool and with harbor view. The quality of furniture, mattress, bathroom fixtures, etc. was definitely high end. It was also just across the street from the pier, which I hadn’t realized. So we had a nice evening walking down the pier to the shops and restaurants. We only stayed one night, but I wish we had stayed longer. It was clean, the staff was helpful and pleasant and it was the perfect location. Note: parking and breakfast do cost extra. So a bit pricey, but I Highly recommend!
