Dubai's Shopping Malls

Dubai's 24/7 shopping world

Dubai Mall

Magic words for shopping connoisseurs; Dubai Mall is one of the largest shopping centres in the world and for many people, shopping is one of Dubai's biggest draws, with smart, modern malls offering an endless range of tax-free consumer goods . Right next door to the Burj Khalifa, a mind-blowing 1,200 stores with big names that include Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Hermes. But that’s not all; there are 160 eateries, an ice-skating rink, an indoor theme park, a 22-screen cinema, Dubai Aquarium and dramatic fountains.

And to keep the kids entertained, head to KidZania. Who said learning can't be fun? At KidZania, children between the ages of four and 16 can learn 'on the job' at this indoor entertainment centre. KidZania is a city built to scale for children, with buildings, streets and recognisable shops, where youngsters earn the unique currency 'kidZos' by role-playing as a fireman, beautician, doctor or whatever they want to be!

Mall of the Emirates

Another of Dubai's top malls, the Mall of the Emirates is home to 520 stores and 85 places to eat, but the main attraction is the amazing Ski Dubai. In complete contrast to the high temperatures outside, this world-famous indoor ski slope offers five runs spanning the 60-metre high manmade mountain, real snow and ski lifts, as well as toboggan runs, climbing towers, an ice slide and even penguins.

Dubai Shopping Festival

For the ultimate shopping fans, the Dubai Shopping Festival takes place each year between December and January, and offers a one-of-a-kind retail experience with everything from outdoor markets and huge sales to flashmobs and firework displays. This is retail therapy at its best: see some of the biggest brands hold mega sales and deals, as well as pop-up fashion shops and shows taking place inside your favourite stores. There's always plenty of opportunity to win big during the festival too, from cars to shopping vouchers.
