With miles of white soft sandy beaches, turquoise waters, vibrant coral reefs, turtles, eagle rays and flamingos, Turks and Caicos holidays certainly live up to the island's slogan - beautiful by nature.
Turks and Caicos is an archipelago of 40 coral islands lying southeast of the Bahamas in the Atlantic Ocean. Split into two main island groups, Turks Islands and the Caicos Islands, there’s so much to discover and experience on holiday here.
It’s the dazzling white sandy beaches lapped by twinkling crystal-clear waters that brings people to the Turks and Caicos Islands time and time again. To sink your toes into the sand at one of the world’s best beaches, head to Grace Bay Beach on Providenciales or ‘Provo’ Island. The vibrant turquoise waters of Chalk Sound National Park, a 5km-long lagoon dotted with small cays on the south-west of Provo, is another holiday highlight.
Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy a trip to the North and Middle Caicos islands. Explore North Caicos’ nature reserves with its thriving plant and bird colonies, including ospreys and the flourishing wild flamingos at Flamingo Pond. The Conch Caves on Middle Caicos are covered with impressive stalactites and stalagmites, impressive underground lagoons, and are home to resident bat colonies.

This food festival celebrates everything related to the culinary delicacy of the conch. It takes place every year in November on Providenciales and is a great chance to not only sample the nation’s signature seafood but also meet and interact with the locals.
North Caicos Extravaganza
Every June, The North Caicos Extravaganza is celebrated with street festivals, live music, boat races and local food.
South Caicos Regatta

Local Cuisine
Turks and Caicos has become a foodie destination in recent years. The easy access to a wide range of fresh fish means that Turks and Caicos’ local cuisine often involves seafood.
Conch
Conch, a snail-like mollusk, which looks a lot like a giant whelk, is a typical ingredient of the island’s cuisine. The signature dishes of the island will often involve a conch. There are several ways its prepared and served, including breaded and fried for conch fritters, or eaten raw in a mixed conch salad.
Thursday Night Fish Fry
Fish Fry Thursday on the island of Providenciales is the ideal way to sample the true flavour and cuisine of the Turks and Caicos Islands. At this weekly party, you can enjoy mingling with the locals, while trying some of the island’s tastiest food. The small local vendors serve up specialities such as jerk chicken, conch fritters as well an array of just-caught fish dishes. Thursday Night Fish Fry takes place every Thursday from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at Bight Park, Lower Bight Road, Providenciales.
