Itinerary Breakdown

Upon arrival in Bangkok, transfer privately to your hotel and spend the rest of your time at leisure to explore the great city of Bangkok.

Transfer privately in the afternoon to Hualamphong Station and join the train. The Eastern & Oriental Express departs Bangkok in the early evening. Settle into your comfortable cabin before dinner is served as the train travels into the countryside with it's rice-fields and traditional villages.

Overnight Accommodation

After breakfast on board, disembark from the train and set off on a river ride with a historian providing information about the bridge over the river Kwai. Later, visit a war museum and war cemetery. Depart Kanchanaburi and lunch is served on board. Spend time in your cabin or in the observation car watching the passing scenery out of the window.

Start the day with breakfast in bed, as the train heads towards the border town of Pedang Besar where Thailand meets Malaysia. Pass fruit crop plantations and rice fields as brunch is served before arriving at Butterworth. Visit the remarkably well preserved Royal Town of Kuala Kangsar, in the state of Perak, renowned for it's old palaces, grand mosque and museums. Here you will visit Ubudiah Mosque and the Royal Museum of Perak, which is an architectural masterpiece. En-route to the museum you will visit the oldest rubber plantation in Malaysia. Head back to the train to embark on the journey to Singapore, and spend the afternoon watching the passing scenery from the open deck of the observation car.

Watch the passing scenery as you enjoy the last leg of your journey through expansive palm plantations dotted with settlement homes in the state of Johor. Cross the Causeway Bridge into Singapore where you will disembark the train and take a private transfer to your hotel for three nights.
