Exclusive Boutique Resort on Secluded Island

The Naka Island is an exclusive resort on Naka Yai Island, located just off the Phuket coast, accessible only by speedboat.  This boutique resort is a peaceful hideaway where you can spend time alone, or join in with one of the complimentary classes that take place each day.

The pool villas are positioned for upmost privacy. The bathroom or rather, the outdoor bath is the pièce de résistance. A covered walkway edged with tropical plants leads out of the bedroom, through to the shower (which also turns into a private steam room at the click of the button) outside and to the sunken bath. Tucked into its own sheltered alcove with in-built shelves for candles at night, it’s quite possibly the most romantic and relaxing bathing experience you’ll ever have.

Wellness is taken to a new, enticing level with offerings such as a fitness centre in natural jungle surroundings, meditation on a small islet, and boot camp sessions on the beach.

With three dining options available, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to what to eat – but all three come with amazing panoramic seaview’s.

  • Secluded Island but only 5 minutes by speedboat to Phuket
  • Lots of watersports and excursions
  • Extensive Spa with signature treatments.
  • Stunning sunset dining

Recommend to getaway from the busy city

I been to the resort for relax stay last month. Only 1 night but we were happy and enjoy time at there. My mom very love the hotel as we are living in the city and need to escape for the quite place and she was enjoyed homemade ice cream at the main pool. The food was fabulous with the reasonable price plus breakfast has variety and I would recommend to order sweet signature from the breakfast menu. :) Moreover, the staff was very nice with kindness full of hospitality mind; especially K Or and K Oliver -- Thank you once again for your always help me and came to ask what we needed. And I just booked another night stay this week with my boyfriend and I truly recommend who would like to getaway from the busy city and work hard, you will find the peaceful in here <3

A disappointing welcome to a beautiful resort

Bangkok, Thailand

This is our second visit and first review for this beautiful resort located on Naka Yai Island. The resort is about 5-10 minute speedboat ride to get to and everything about us getting there from booking a car and taking a speed boat was all smooth sailing. When we arrived it was total paradise as we were greeted by lovely staff that is until one of male staff greeted us strangely with a weird comment towards our daughter stating that she was quite naughty/uncontrollable. Now, I don’t know if it was a strange context but I am Thai and speak Thai and it is completely unacceptable to have a five star hotel staff begin commenting on your parenting style. That pretty much threw off the entire trip with not so great impression. After we were taken to the check-in area we immediately asked to speak with the duty manager who wasn’t there but was approached by K.Rose [Guest Experience Manager] who immediately apologized for the situation and said that she would inform and train the staff more. After that whole fiasco we waited for another 45 mins to get into our room which was already late based on the time that they had asked us to check in. Once we arrived in our room we got another phone call this time from the duty manager saying that we would need to move rooms again as the current room that we were staying had some problems with the electrical units/lights. We were also told that they couldn’t give a specific time to when we would be able to move but they would inform us and that we could use the room and facilities for the time being but not the shower as that where the problem was. Now after all that obviously we went on a full spree of complaining to the duty manager how the entire check-in process and experience had truly been terrible as it was a complete waste of time for us just to be waiting around to find out nothing was really ready. We ended up going to the pool and the duty manager came to apologize and offered us free flow of drinks for the afternoon which we thought was at least a nice gesture. Room We finally got our 1 Bed Room Pool Villa Sea view which had a stunning view! The room is decorated in a way to make you feel like you are in a hut in the tropical forest. The bathroom of the room is all open air but closed off with mosquito wired screens ,which honestly doesn’t help that much as we were still bitten heavily during day and night by mosquitoes and we found a Frog jumping around in the bathroom area which truly freaked the living life of my wife lol. Some of the other great features of the room include obviously the private pool overseeing the sea, a steam sauna apart of the main shower, a outdoor bath tub and shower! Everything at first sight is absolutely amazing but as usual you start realizing after a while that somethings are getting a bit old. We also know that the hotel tries it’s best to make sure all the pesty insects and creatures are away but still you will definitely be bound to find mosquitoes, worms, slugs, snails, and even creepy insects that look like centipedes and also leeches… This is not totally unacceptable as you do need to accept that you are on a tropical island but make sure to watch your step and not always walk bearfoot. Facilities Fitness - Absolutely amazing one with all the basic facilities you need. I’d say that this is a pretty legit gym with high tech equipment and large size Pool - The main pool is pretty much what people come here for. The stunning view of the ocean is amazing during the morning, day, and to watch the sunset. There are several of areas for children to play around. If you love taking pictures this is the hot spot to do so! There are also tons of day beds around and if you are up for tanning you surely will get a nice one throughout the entire day! Beach - High tide in the morning and low tide in the afternoon. It’s actually very beautiful in the morning all the way up till noon! You can literally take a stroll and get some amazing pictures! We saw a few people take a swim and play some water sport activities which was great. However, during low tide it’s not the best sight but the sunset makes up for all of that. Do note that the beach here is facing Phuket Island so the view is not truly and open sea view… it’s more of the ocean is between Phuket and the island of the hotel itself. Kids Club/Room - This is definitely the worst one I’ve ever seen… the toys are… wait are there any??? There is just basically a table for children to do activities and a ball pen… I mean why have one if you are not going to maintain it properly? If anything they should really just build a new one as Kids Club are becoming quite a new standard for most five star hotels…. I could only imagine that they could do a really well job with this if they had paid more attention to it. I mean most of the people staying here from what I saw were Couples and families with little children. Spa - Huge and beautiful! The Spa service here is quite something and the staff are very professional and caring to our needs. If you are into massages I’d totally recommend you get one here as it is quite an experience just based on the location and setting itself. FOOD Breakfast - Good quality and lots of variety of food… I’d say it’s not the best that we’ve had but it’s definitely above average. They also have selected ala carte made to order menus for the buffet in the morning too…. So Waffles, French Toast, Eggs are all made fresh! Dinner We had our dinner at the main Thai Kitchen one food was alright however it is quite pricey! Thankfully we had a discount based on the package we bought otherwise would have been truly over priced. Now when we mean expensive it’s mainly because of the portion and the quality that you are getting. Not saying that it wasn’t good but the quality and presentation of what you are paying for isn’t up to par. Then again they have all the right to charge you since that’s the only option you’ll have in regards to dining options since you are on an island. Service/Cleaning Cleaning - Expected and done properly. Nothing special but met by all international standards. Service - Overall service was great except for the very bad impression we got in the beginning of our trip. All the staff here are all very helpful especially the staff at the pool. Every single person was willing to help and always greeting us with a smile and hello to our daughter “Melody”. The dining room staff were all very kind and polite. One thing that we did notice as this was our second time here is that a lot of the older staff from our last visit were still here and those were the ones who knew their duties and helpful most. Pros Absolutely stunning hotel, view, beach, pool… this is why you are paying over priced for everything A great place to take pictures for social media :) Cocktails and drinks are pretty good The pool villa rooms have that wow factor and pretty awesome features Cons Lots of Mosquitoes / bugs / and creatures F&B is quite pricey Check-In process can be hectic during holidays Newer staff needs more training totally unexceptable in regards to what happen us in the start Tips If you like sun stay on the side that is facing Phuket. Fun Facts They serve ice cream everyday for free 2 PM onwards at the pool… and this isn’t just cheap ice cream… it’s homemade premium and we highly recommend the milky coconut! Summary If you want a WOW stunning view and hotel with amazing features this is the place you want! It truly is destined to be more of a Romantic/Honey Moon get away… however a lot of the crowd here too are families. If you like tropical… you’ll love this place… just make sure you control child otherwise you might get a smirky comment OOPZ j/K ;)
