Bangkok and Krabi Multi Centre Holiday

Combine both city sightseeing and brilliant beaches on this dream multi-centre trip to Bangkok and Krabi in Thailand. Krabi is just an hour’s flight away from Bangkok and is a great option for a winter sun getaway, as the rainy season doesn’t run until April to November.

One of Southeast Asia’s most famous cities, Bangkok is a vibrant, buzzy metropolis. It's packed full of cultural attractions, incredible shopping opportunities and delectable cuisine that rivals food all over the world. The city is brimming with casual eateries, high end restaurants and roadside street stalls, all of which dish up scrumptious local fare. Be sure to sample a fresh Pad Thai, the country’s national dish.

After a busy few days exploring all that the Thai capital has to offer, rest on the dreamy island of Krabi. Here you can enjoy the palm fringed beaches, shallow aquamarine waters and looming limestone cliffs. If you like rock climbing or are interested in learning, Krabi is the best and most scenic spot in Thailand to dabble in the sport. For a more restful stay, lie back with a fruity cocktail in hand on one of the idyllic island’s sandy beaches. Or opt for a Thai massage for the ultimate indulgence.

Culture lovers will be in heaven in Bangkok. The bustling city is littered with ornate palaces, shimmering golden temples and intricate shrines. However, culture lover or not, any visitor will be spellbound by the magnificent Grand Palace or the Emerald Buddha Temple. Another of Bangkok’s renowned temples is the towering and colourful Wat Arun temple, which sits by the city’s famous Chao Phraya River and is home to a seventy metre glass spire.

Afterwards, hop on a river cruise where you’ll sail past the different districts of the city and can observe locals living and working outside their houses as they sit along the river.

A visit to Bangkok wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the city’s notorious Khao San Road. During the day, practise your bartering skills at the street stalls that line the road. After dark, the street comes alive with activity and is packed full of tourists and locals alike.

Home to looming limestone cliffs, sandy shores and beautiful temples, Krabi is an island of variety with plenty to see and do. Whether you prefer to get active with rock climbing or snorkelling or you prefer relaxing on the sand, Krabi can cater to your needs. To make the most of your time, we recommend spending around 10 nights in Krabi.

Krabi is an ideal base for island hopping. You can visit many of Thailand’s other dreamy islands while you’re here, including the likes of lively Koh Phi Phi, beautiful Koh Lanta and serene Koh Yao Nai. They’re all just a boat ride away. During the day, you can hop on one of the traditional and colourful long tail boats that line the shores of the beach to explore secluded offshore islands solo or with a local guide.

In the evening, roam Walking Street to shop for souvenirs, indulge in delicious Thai fare, and dance to nightly entertainment. We recommend sampling the local seafood.
