Start your Thailand adventure with three days in Thailand's vibrant capital city. 

Stroll through the Chatuchak Weekend Market, Thailand’s largest market, or explore the more traditional Damnoen Saduak floating market.

Catch the spectacular sunset views from the beautiful Wat Arun temple with its intricately adorned pagodas and terraces, or explore the magnificent Grand Palace complex. After working up an appetite head to Chinatown to sample the fantastic street food, then head to a roof top bar to end your day in style.

This six day journey from Bangkok up through Phitsanulok, Lampang and Chiang Rai to the northern city of Chiang Mai provides a wonderful insight into this fascinating region. 

Your first stop will be the Summer Palace of Rama V. before continuing on to the ancient capital of Ayutthaya to discover the temples of Wat Yai Chaimongkhon, Wat Mahathat and Wat Phanan Choeng. 

After a night in Phitsanuloke continue you temple exploration with a stop at Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, which houses one of the most revered Buddha statues in the country. 

Overnight in Lampang before travelling north, stopping briefly at Phayao Lake for a coffee before heading to the spectacular White Temple of Wat Rong Khun. After exploring the unique murals inside the temple, be sure to check out the museum dedicated to the temple's architect and renowned artist - Chalermchai Kositipat. 

This afternoon you will stop in the Golden Triangle - where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet. Visit the 212 House of Opium to learn about the history and devastating effect the trade had on the local community, and how this was turned around. 

Enjoy your free time this evening exploring Chiang Rai, perhaps stopping for a drink in the lively district close to the clock tower. 

Spend the morning exploring the sights, sounds and smells of Chiang Rai's morning market  before departing on a river cruise aboard a traditional long-tail boat to visit the Pha Tai hill tribe village, then its on to your final stop, Chiang Mai.

Spend some time at the Thai Elephant Care Centre where you will have a chance to get up close to these magnificent, gentle giants. The centre was set up to provide care for elderly elephants, there are no elephant rides, instead visitors learn about the care of these elderly elephants and can feed them bananas.
