Rayavadee

Secluded resort with jaw dropping views

A member of the Leading Hotels of the World, this romantic hideaway is accessible only by the hotels private speed boat and set within the famous National Marine Park. Being at the heart of the stunning Phranang Peninsula and spread over 26 acres of coconut groves and bordered by three beaches, Rayavadee boasts two-storey pavilion guestrooms hidden among the palm trees and surrounded by towering limestone cliffs to create an atmosphere reminiscent of an idyllic southern Thai village. The pavilions’ circular design blends perfectly with the natural surroundings and with the resorts' recent renovations throughout, luxury really does come as standard as well as fine cuisine in the resorts four restaurants.

Experience a remote tropical escape while relaxing by the swimming pool located amid the rainforest landscape overlooking the Andaman Sea; a walk along the sandy beach or alternatively enjoy a Thai cooking or fruit carving class. If this is all too much, then unwind with a relaxing first class treatment at the Rayavadee Spa. When it’s time to watch the sunset, the best place to go for a drink is The Grotto; nestled under an ancient limestone cliff on the edge of Phranang Beach, this venue provides a cave setting for an evening cocktail before returning back later for a romantic meal. With perfect settings, luxury accommodation and amazing service, there really isn’t anything to fault about this perfect romantic setting.

Last three nights in Ao-Nang

London, United Kingdom

First class accomodation in a delightful 2 story pavillion, surrounded by well kept, but wild jungle, monitor lizards and monkeys experienced up close. The staff were very friendly, from the concierge to the cleaners and gardeners, so much to do, three beaches, free kayaking and snorkeling, well equipped gym, tennis courts and squash court. Food was top class, our final evening dining in the 'Grotto' open limestone cave on the beach was one I will never forget, thank you to all staff at 'Rayavadee'

Glad Stayed But Would Not Rush Back

London, United Kingdom

Every year we go to Thailand and like to spend a few days in Bangkok followed by two nights somewhere new before we go onto our favourite island. This year we chose Rayavadee for the two nights, it looked really nice form the website and reviews. overall it is a lovely hotel; the staff are extremely efficient and very friendly and make sure that you are comfortable. The breakfast is very good with a wide selection of foods to choose from and well made. The villa, we had a Deluxe Villa, is exceptional overall, it is spacious, clean and has almost every amenity you could wish for, it was very comfortable and a delight to spend time in. The accommodation is luxurious and has managed to mix the modern with traditional exceptionally well. The grounds of the hotel are massive, and takes an age to walk around, they are very well maintained and beautiful to look at, there is an abundance of wildlife to see and it is overall peaceful. However, there are some negatives about the resort. There is no beach to speak of as although there are three right on the resort’s doorstep, they are inundated with tourists that the boats bring every hour, the boats that are very noisy and you can hear them throughout the resort. There is also a bar or club on the island that plays loud music until 12:00 or 1:00 each night that you can clearly hear from your villa. The villa has no radio downstairs, a small oversight that would have been nice to have. There are also not enough power sockets in the bedroom, and this caused a minor irritation. When we arrived we were not given flower garlands, although the 3 couples in front of us got them. These things may seem minor, and on the whole they are, but the resort is very expensive and for this price bracket you do not expect any minor issues at all.
