Secluded resort with jaw dropping views

A member of the Leading Hotels of the World, this romantic hideaway is accessible only by the hotels private speed boat and set within the famous National Marine Park. Being at the heart of the stunning Phranang Peninsula and spread over 26 acres of coconut groves and bordered by three beaches, Rayavadee boasts two-storey pavilion guestrooms hidden among the palm trees and surrounded by towering limestone cliffs to create an atmosphere reminiscent of an idyllic southern Thai village. The pavilions’ circular design blends perfectly with the natural surroundings and with the resorts' recent renovations throughout, luxury really does come as standard as well as fine cuisine in the resorts four restaurants.

Experience a remote tropical escape while relaxing by the swimming pool located amid the rainforest landscape overlooking the Andaman Sea; a walk along the sandy beach or alternatively enjoy a Thai cooking or fruit carving class. If this is all too much, then unwind with a relaxing first class treatment at the Rayavadee Spa. When it’s time to watch the sunset, the best place to go for a drink is The Grotto; nestled under an ancient limestone cliff on the edge of Phranang Beach, this venue provides a cave setting for an evening cocktail before returning back later for a romantic meal. With perfect settings, luxury accommodation and amazing service, there really isn’t anything to fault about this perfect romantic setting.

Second home

Bangkok, Thailand

This perfect setting resort is one of the best ones in Thailand ,in the perfect location, nice architecture and beautiful decoration, perfect facilities and great variety of foods. Prices are quite high on high season period, it’s better go at about middle of the year then you’d get good prices.

More like 3 star hotel with 1 star customer service

Santa Monica, California

I’m sure I will get a snarky response or that they have no record of me staying here. I’ll start off by saying the grounds are incredibly gorgeous and so are the two surrounding beaches. The hotel rooms are definitely nothing to be desired. They look rundown and like they need an update. For almost $1500/night (this is what it averaged out to), I’d expect the rooms to be amazing. When we arrived, we were told about the resort and where the restaurants, pool, and gym were. It’s a long journey getting to the hotel from chiang mai. We ended up getting a quick bite to eat at one of the three restaurants. The food was expensive and again not mind blowing. After we ate, we went back to the room with our smAll children to find that we had no hot water at 9:30pm. We were exhausted and just wanted to get cleaned up and go to bed. They offered us another room to take a shower in while they fixed the problem. We didn’t want to wait for the hour they estimated to fix the problem so we schlepped our stuff along with our two screaming/tired kids to another room to shower. Hardly what I was expecting at paying $1500/night. To make matters worse, management never addressed the issue or offered us anything. I had to go to the management office to complain. The manager basically offered me half off the kids dinners at the grotto after he had just got through the Telling me that one of my kids eats free and the other was half off. When he saw my disapproval, we ended up what felt like street haggling back and forth. He then offered me half off of one of the adult meals. We finally came to an agreement that the whole meal would be comped but he said “you pay for drinks”. I own a very high end rental and this has happened where a guest didn’t have hot water. It was fixed very quickly and we offered a free night stay. We don’t want bad press and when you are paying this much money, there is a certain expectation. They also have a minimum stay that I found out was only 5 nights through another guest that we made friends with. We paid for 6 nights and on the 4th night I found out that I screwed up and Was supposed to go back to Bangkok to fly home a day earlier than intended. So I had to rebook my flights and book a new hotel. This meant I had to skip the very expensive and mandatory gala dinner on New Year’s Eve. The gala that cost $750/per adult. The guy who helped us rebook our flights was very nice and I asked him if he would speak to the manager about at least refunding our gala dinner. I understand that it was my fault and I booked the wrong dates but I thought that the management would at least refund that dinner as a gesture of goodwill or just plain and simple good customer service. The manager didn’t even tell me himself. He had his employee tell us that it was basically too bad. I left with a very bad taste in my mouth. It’s a shame because the cost of a bad review is much more than just providing good customer service. I can not recommend this hotel
