Koh Kood Holidays

This is the Thailand people dream about

Koh Kood is in the province of Trat, close to the Cambodian border.  With less than 2000 permanent residents, this island is truly off the beaten track – in fact it's remoteness is the islands biggest attraction.  Most travellers looking for a beach stay skip it entirely and choose to stay in more popular tourist destinations. However, despite being largely underdeveloped, there is plenty to do.

Explore dense jungles, secret waterfalls, white deserted beaches and sleepy fishing villages.  This is the Thailand of yesteryear. The entire island has a relatively untouched eco-system, above and below the water. Take a kayak along the shore to explore the sandy bays and swim and snorkel in the warm, crystal clear water.

At night, keep a look out for sparkling clusters of fireflies, sometimes you will see thousands of them in one tree glittering away like a giant disco ball.

The best time to visit is between November to the end of April. At this time, it is cool, dry and mainly sunny.  Koh Kood is reached by a short flight from Bangkok to Trat airport, and then a boat transfer to the island.

If you would like to visit Koh Kood as part of a Multi centre holiday, this is the perfect place to relax after a city break in Bangkok;
