River Kwai Float House

Hidden gem in peaceful location

The only way to reach this unusual hotel is by boat – as the resort actually floats on the river Kwai, surrounded by thick jungle. The location is peaceful and breathtakingly beautiful, and is wonderful retreat from the busy city of Bangkok.

Our two night, three day tour explores the best of the Kanchanburi area and the River Kwai with visits to the Thailand-Burma (Death Valley) Railway centre, war cemetery, River Kwai Bridge, Hellfire pass memorial and Mon Tribal Village. There is plenty of opportunity to sit back and unwind in this unique setting. Maybe have an indulgent massage, enjoy the non-motorised water sports or simply read a book and listen to nature’s soundtrack.

holiday treat

a wonderful end to our holiday . lovely accomodation and stunning location . went swimming once but didnt fancy it a second time . had a massage which was good but as it was outside we were surrounded by mosquitos and you feel ever boat that goes by . a trip to the river kwai bridge is a must .

Kanchanaburi trip

The Floathouse s still my dirst choise at river kwai, because of its unique location. Unfortunately i made a mistake in the booking and there was no refund from the hotel side. They are a bit inflexible. The buffet for dinner was very nice and a good choise.
