Hidden gem in peaceful location

The only way to reach this unusual hotel is by boat – as the resort actually floats on the river Kwai, surrounded by thick jungle. The location is peaceful and breathtakingly beautiful, and is wonderful retreat from the busy city of Bangkok.

Our two night, three day tour explores the best of the Kanchanburi area and the River Kwai with visits to the Thailand-Burma (Death Valley) Railway centre, war cemetery, River Kwai Bridge, Hellfire pass memorial and Mon Tribal Village. There is plenty of opportunity to sit back and unwind in this unique setting. Maybe have an indulgent massage, enjoy the non-motorised water sports or simply read a book and listen to nature’s soundtrack.

Good but more possible

A unique property on the River Kwai. The rooms are very good and the environment is more than unique. In my eyes this resort should position themselves a little bit more exclusive. The food (breakfast and diner) is ordinary (lets say three star level). Staff is OK, but not more than that. Their English is poor and they are not always willing to run the extra mile. It is a pity that they do not have any competition.

Ambient place to relax

Came with a bunch of friends. At night can stare the stars on the sky. Laying down by the river really is an unforgettable experience, and the jumping down the River Kwai feels so good!! Staff was friendly too.
