An oasis of calm

Barnstaple, United Kingdom

We were touring the country and arrived at Tamarind Village which was a pure delight. Excellent and attentive service, beautiful room and well appointed, a great restaurant - not too expensive and wine which we could afford! Just fantastic - we recommend!!

Charming boutique Hotel full of character

London, United Kingdom

My Fiancé and I just visited the Tamarind Village Hotel for 3 nights while travelling around Thailand and were incredibly impressed by this charming boutique hotel. The service is incredible and the staff are very friendly and kind, but also very professional. They were very helpful and attentive to all of our questions and needs. The rooms are on the smaller side but have all the usual amenities you would expect, TV, WiFi, mini bar etc. Plus they offer a mosquito net if you want one. The hotel itself is right in the centre of the old city, but is completely enclosed on all sides so when inside it’s very quiet and you soon forget it’s in the city. It has a spa and a restaurant which are also great. The spa has a really calm, chilled out vibe and food at the restaurant is amazing, really healthy and fresh. Spa treatments were very reasonable around 2200 Thai baht (more than smaller places outside the hotel but it’s a much higher standard) Food at the restaurant is about 300 Thai baht per dish, again more than surrounding restaurants but the standard of food is very high so well worth it. The hotel offers a complementary walking tour each morning which I would highly recommend as the staff are very knowledgable and take you around some of the local temples. Each day they also have a different free activity in the afternoon which gives you more insight into Thai culture. I will definitely be returning to this hotel if I ever find myself back in Chiang Mai!
