Lake Manyara National Park Tanzania

Described As The Loveliest Lake In Africa

Ernest Hemingway called it the loveliest lake in Africa and it isn’t hard to see why. The 127-square-mile Lake Manyara National Park is home to diverse landscapes from forests to flood plains, and wildlife such as flamingo, baboons, elephants, hippos and lions.

One of Tanzania's smallest parks, we strongly recommend you take a detour to this stunning landscape that is sometimes missed off safari itineraries. Its vegetation is diverse, ranging from dry savannah to marshes and lush evergreens, and you'll get to see the tree-climbing lions that have set up home here. It's a beautiful vista that truly encapsulates Tanzania's natural beauty.
