Highlights of Northern Tanzania

Packed with national parks, diverse landscapes and incredible wildlife, our Highlights of Northern Tanzania tour offers a truly unforgettable experience if you’re looking to explore and connect with the natural world of East Africa. This jewel of the African continent offers one of the world’s best safari locations, and our expert local naturalists are here to ensure you get the most out of every single moment of your five day tour.

We’ll take you through the unique terrain, forests and soda lakes of Lake Manyara National Park, one of the few places in the world where you can spot rhino, flamingo, elephants and tree-climbing lions. From there we head into the vast grasslands of the Serengeti National Park, where you’ll have the chance to witness the sheer scale of the famed Great Migration for yourself, where herds of wildebeest roam. Expect to see plenty of zebra and gazelle following in their wake.

But that’s not all. No trip to Northern Tanzania is complete until you’ve spent a day exploring Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll find the world’s largest inactive volcano, now home to leopards, lions and buffalo. Anthropology enthusiasts will know this region as one of the earliest known hominin settlements, with recovered fossils dating back two to three million years.

At Hayes & Jarvis, our team of Northern Tanzania holiday experts are here to help you craft your ideal tailor-made itinerary. We’re always on hand to discuss your options and ensure you get the best from your safari experience.

This is just a quick stop to refuel and drop off your belongings before you head out to the incredible Lake Manyara National Park in the afternoon.
