All that Africa has to offer - adventure and pure relaxation

Tanzania is a dream safari destination, celebrated for stunning scenery and game-rich parks and reserves which include the famous Serengeti, Selous and Lake Manyara national parks, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

For wildlife enthusiasts, a holiday to Tanzania will not disappoint. Your chances of spotting the Big Five are exceptionally high, as well as a host of other wildlife species, from hippos to flamingo, that call Tanzania their home. Plan your trip at the right time and you'll also witness the thunderous hooves of 1.5 million wildebeest as they leave the scorched plains of the Serengeti in search of waterholes and lush pastures in the Masai Mara.

After experiencing an adrenaline-fuelled safari, you'd be forgiven for seeking some relaxation – and the picture-perfect paradise island of Zanzibar beckons. Only a short flight away, the white sand archipelago of Zanzibar is considered to be the Indian Ocean's best kept secret. Steeped in history, the island offers intrigue of years gone by as well as world class resorts offering the ultimate in pampering indulgence.

Our Experts Recommend:
  • Explore Selous National Park

Often before starting your safari you will require a night in Arusha due to the flights not arriving in time for the start of your safari and there is nowhere better to spend your first night in Tanzania than the Arusha Coffee Lodge. The lodge offers several activities including a 'bean-to-cup' tour of the plantation which shows you every stage of coffee production. The next morning head off on our Selous Fly-In Safari. Start your safari with a birds eye view as you fly directly into the wilds of the Selous National Park. With luxury accommodation, a high population of predators and the great annual wildebeest migration this is a great choice for a short safari.

The very name 'Zanzibar' brings to mind intrigue, adventure on the high seas and tales of traders from a by gone era. The 'spice' island retains all of this romance and mystery to this very day and combines it with a collection of boutique accommodation that makes it the perfect place to unwind and relax after a safari experience over on mainland Tanzania or nearby Kenya and Rwanda. For those who have the time we would suggest a visit to historic Stonetown, where the history of the island unfolds before your very eyes. However the beaches will most likely be calling most visitors and the numerous properties and resorts wont disappoint. World class service, powdery white sandy beaches and amazing dive spots make Zanzibar the perfect way to finish your East African adventure.
