Trapp Family Lodge

Made famous by the Sound of Music, the Von Trapp family left Austria shortly after it was annexed by Germany in 1938. They ended up in Vermont and a few years later they opened the Trapp Family Lodge. Set within 1,012 hectares of grounds, the lodge is a unique resort featuring Austrian-inspired architecture and beautiful mountain views. The lodge offers a mountain biking trail, gym, tennis courts, sleigh rides, cross country skiing, and maple sugaring, as well as brewing its own beer on site.
