AMAZING!!

St. George, Utah

I can't say enough good things about this resort. We just got back yesterday and loved every minute of it. If you are looking to be pampered and have complete privacy than look no further! The minute you arrive you are greeted by your personal butler and shown to your "villa". It's more than just a room so we were calling it our villa. We had the Premium Butler Suite. You walk in your gate and into your very own completely private courtyard with hammock, mini bar, outdoor shower, loungers, plunge pool with waterfall With trees and greenery all around. It even has a privacy box. If you order food or drinks and your "Do Not Disturb" sign is on your gate they can put your food in the box from the outside and you can access it from your courtyard. (We thought that was pretty cool). Then you walk into your room from the courtyard which is just has amazing! The bed is extremely comfortable and the shower and bathroom are so nice! The service is the best of anywhere we've ever stayed! You get your own butler and a butler cell phone that you keep with you. If you need ANYTHING you call your butler and they will bring it to you! From coffee, to towels, to food, to drinks, to bug spray! Anything! When I was looking for a place to stay before were booked I read some reviews on the beach and it being on the Atlantic side and not the Caribbean side so I was a little worried. But the beach was beautiful! Pretty much the whole island is being bombarded with seaweed right now but they worked really hard to keep it off the beach and keep it clean. The water was warm and we floated around in the ocean quite a bit. The beach cabanas are a must also! We had a fabulous time and will for sure come back! Oh, and the food in the Greenhouse is amazing! Even though we could walk over to Coconut Bay and use their restaurants we never did because the food was so good at Serenity. Best food at an all inclusive we ever had.

We went with best friends and had one of the best vacations of our life

Washington DC, District of Columbia

We spent Memorial Day week here on a trip with best friends, celebrating an upcoming birthday in each couple and our anniversaries. My wife and I both travel extensively for work and have high expectations. I had been in charge of planning this trip and did not tell my wife much before we went, and I think she would agree this trip exceeded our expectations on virtually every level. It was expensive and worth it for those seeking a week where it's all about unwinding with no set plans and plenty of pool time. The Manager Michael told us that he used to work at some premier US clubs and that's the vibe he is seeking here - you feel like you are a member of a very exclusive club where your preferences are known and the answer to every question is "yes, we can do that." As noted in other reviews, it is great to clear customs and have only a short 5 minute drive to the resort. We had the largest category of room and our friends had the smallest category and we were right across from each other, which was very convenient for us all. Both rooms were great - our outdoor area was outstanding for entertaining our friends or sitting in a hammock reading or having a quiet meal alone. There were a couple of days where the four of us sat in the private pool listening to music and drinking away the afternoon, without needing to see anyone else other than the butlers delivering food and drinks - an awesome way to have a vacation day. We were quick to ask our butlers to unpack us, leaving our group to head for drinks and a dip in the main pool before dinner that night. We loved the main pool area, with the in-pool chairs, 8 or so cabanas, and plenty of shaded chairs. We spent a lot of time there during the week and it had a great vibe and was never crowded. Bar service at the pool, led by Kaye, was excellent, and she quickly knew everyone's name and favorite drinks. Every time you merely thought you needed something, the staff had already appeared to anticipate the need. We loved that there is NOT a schedule of events every day (the main resort has all that if you want) meaning the vibe at Serenity was you controlled your schedule and the place was intentionally serene and low-key. The food at the Great House is great. We were big fans of the breakfast smoothies (especially with spiced rum for one in our group) and mimosas. We enjoyed the lunches we had from there - either delivered to the beach cabana, our pool cabana, sitting on their porch, or delivered to our room pool. The pizza, burgers, empenadas, paninis and Caesar salads were well-liked by our group. When we left, we realized we had enjoyed 20 of 21 meals outside (other than a night at Calabash). We ate only two meals across the street, one at Verandah and one at Calabash) - both were OK and if the Great House had more variety on the menu, we probably would not have ever left. Everything was excellent at Great House - Cheese bread, specials, the beef, and the portion size was excellent - they didn't try to stuff you. The desserts at night were also notable - coconut cream pie, and I loved the sorbets. We had the Grand Romance package and used most of it (not the private dinner). We had the couples massage the day after we landed, to start our day, and we had it in our outdoor area of our room - excellent kickoff to the week. We thought the sunset cruise was excellent - relaxing, water was not rough - but probably could be half the time and the same amount of fun. We took the half-day tour and did the mud bath and waterfall, which was something that was fun but a one-time thing. The "lighthouse" part is kind of sad - it's an adjoining hill full of graffiti-ed buildings, but the view of both coasts is great. Our friends wanted to go ziplining and our butlers set us up for a great tour that had us out and back in four hours. We had fun on what I would call a small series of ziplines that included a tour of their cocoa and cocunut farm. We were on this trip to major in doing nothing by the pool and beach so these were the only outings. So you see the reviews complaining about the Atlantic beach and if sitting on a chaise lounge staring at crystal blue waters on a pink or blinding white beach is your thing, you won't be happy here. We had a beach cabana with the other couple two days and we loved them both. Sure, there's seaweed in the water, and we enjoyed throwing it at each other, but if really wasn't a bother to us as we stood in the soft waves and warm water and drank and laughed and told stories. The beach is very narrow - maybe 10 yards from the cabana to the water, but we did not care. We had a nice degree of solitude to listen to music, read, talk and drink from a cooler packed by butlers who knew what we wanted. When it was time for lunch it was delivered quickly and by a fun team of butlers who would stay and chat for a few minutes. We would have been happy in the cabana every day, though we spent most days at the pool. We should mention the evening entertainment was nice at the Great House, surprisingly good and engaging, we wish it was there every night and that it went later. We were there when the NBA/NHL playoffs were near the end and we spent time after dinner each night at the bar watching a little bit, and having a drink or two with new found friends. We went over the main resort a couple of times and it is tired and worn down so we stayed only a little bit. We went to their Sunday night chocolate party which was interesting people watching. We did the waterslide and lazy river once to say we did them, and it was fine. In addition to our in-room massages, we ended up at the spa for facials and more massage over the course of the week and thought the services were good (but not great) even if the rooms were somewhat dated. If you never go to the main resort, you will still have a great vacation. The service from our butler team was excellent. Our friends had three butlers and we had three others so between us there were six people seeing to our needs (I would recommend in the future that groups like us - we had said on our forms we were traveling together - get the same butlers to make thinks easier). These folks were friendly, knowledgeable, always in a position to help when you needed it. Nits to pick: (1) they are installing blackout curtains in September, should have made that a priority - we don't mind waking up early, even on vacation, but we imagine many hate the sun at 5 am; (2) more variety at the Great House for dinner; (3) they had a computer hack before we arrived which had their system down for a few days - the pre-arival form we had filled out six months before and noted what we wanted to drink and the special occasions we were celebrating was never followed up on - I would have expected a cake or something for birthdays and anniversaries, so I think this was the one service failure; (4) they have a nice Bose wave radio in the room but nothing outside for the pool/deck - we were always unplugging the Bose and taking it in/out to be where we were, this could be easily fixed with some waterproof Bluetooth speakers outside to connect your phone/device to and play music; (5) for the quality and price of the room, the in-suite toiletries were not high-end; (6) the workout room at the main resort was a joke - two working treadmills when I was there with a line - the company should build a small room for Serenity guests to have something. Names to drop: Kevin and Linus at the Great House were great to us all week, friendly with a smile. Rosie and Patrice kept our room immaculate and we loved the notes/poems/towel animals each night. Ernest at the Great House was great fun every meal and we enjoyed talking to him - he really had a good personality. Our combined butler teams for us and our friends Dez, Gregg, Angus and Rochel (and we are forgetting one who was great!) were all terrific people - fun to hang out with, attentive to our needs, great suggestions, and quick service when needed. We enjoyed talking with Michael Smith about the rollout of the resort as well. We have not stopped raving to friends about this trip since we came back and we are trying to find a time we can go back soon.
