St Kitts Scenic Railway

Explore the undiscovered Caribbean with a trip around St Kitts' scenic railway; a 30-mile tour of the beautiful island.

The railway line was built between 1912 and 1926 and was originally put in place to transport sugar cane from the island's plantations to the capital of Basseterre. Today, this is officially the last railway in the West Indies and gives you a unique opportunity to soak up the stunning scenery and fascinating unspoilt landscapes from the comfort of the train.

You'll be taken along the Northeastern coastline to see the turquoise ocean, jagged cliffs and thriving vegetation, as well as roll across tall steel bridges over deep canyons before winding through small towns and villages. There really is no better way to see the true natural beauty of St Kitts.
