Great relaxing stay at super intimate resort

New York City, New York

We stayed for 7 nights in Gingerland - half a cottage with some ocean view. A first taste of the great experience we had as we got upgraded which got us a second room with couch, etc. on top of the front porch with sunbeds. The staff is super friendly from maintenance to maids to waiter stuff and up to the general manager that made sure we were happy. Everyone is making an effort to accommodate your personal wishes and tries to remember your choices. It's a super intimate resort - which we liked. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone looking for lots of activities and parties though. Although you can book activities around the island and the front desk will also help with getting a taxi to e.g. get to another beach (club). We ate in the Great House every night except for the BBQ on Thursdays. The food was delicious and the menu is different every day - including one vegetarian option and dairy and/or gluten free dishes. For us it worked fine to go with the breakfast plan and pay for a la carte dining. There are meal plans available as well. Note that there was no TV in our room (there's one in the resort lounge). We didn't mind and with the WiFi you could watch some stuff on your personal device. The beach area and bar is very nice and well maintained. The sea and beach was a little rougher than at other areas on the island. We still found a very nice area and enjoyed the more or less constant wind during a hot week in July. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay in the Nisbet Plantation Beach Club again should we come back to Nevis.

Wonderful Experience

Bentonville, Arkansas

I can't say enough about our wonderful experience at Nisbet. Situated on large, secluded, beautiful grounds with refreshing ocean breezes, quiet beach and incredible weather. The cottages are large, private, extremely clean and comfortable. The food is magnificent. But more than any of this, we most appreciated the incredible hospitality and service of the staff and management. Everything is taken care from arranging outings to food to transportation. Everyone takes a personal interest in your visit and we greatly enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people. We simply cannot say enough about the incredible service and friendly, conscientious staff at Nisbet. We enjoyed snorkeling, sailing and jet skis. Finally saw the monkeys at the Four Seasons. We ate out a few times (Sunshine's, Yachtman's, Los Locos) but mostly enjoyed the wonderful meals at Nisbet. If you're going to travel out at all, I would definitely rent a car. The hotel can easily arrange and travel was much easier and cost-effective. The island is easy to navigate. Don't skip the hikes with Tim and Tina!
