Itinerary Breakdown

Arrive into Colombo and transfer to your overnight hotel. Either spend the night in the heart of this vibrant city, or venture slightly further afield for a more tranquil stop.

Transfer today from Colombo to Kandy. You'll stop at a traditional spice garden before arriving at your hotel in time for your evening meal.

Today take in the striking sights of Kandy, start at the Temple of the Tooth, see the old bazaar and move to a gem museum for a look into the island's rich history.

This morning, after breakfast head down to Nuwara Eliya, also known as 'Little England' for it's iconic British features from red pillar boxes to the quaint village style post office. For something really unique, why not pay a small supplement to experience the train from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya for a look into the golden age of train travel.

En route from Nuwara Eliya, visit the historic mountain town of Bandarawela with its sculptures dating back to the 9th century. Continue to your hotel just outside Yala for your safari tomorrow.

This morning head to Colombo's domestic airport for the short flight to Passikudah. These small island planes are an amazing way to see the beauty of Sri Lanka from above. Arrive in Passikudah and transfer to your beach hotel.
