Heaven on Earth

London, United Kingdom

A beautiful oasis in the perfect spot. Hen and her team are amazing. A home from home. Couldn’t ask for more for a relaxing couple of days - top tip - do the aqua aerobics - it’s not that easy! Rooms were beautiful and the bathrooms to only wish for at home. 10 mins walk to a beautiful swimming beach with a cool beach bar. And it’s a little bit cooler up at the Why House which was the perfect way to end a day. Thanks again for everything (we felt very spoilt) and doing the PR with my friends and families. Nothing was too much trouble. Especially as my partner was a little ill from a trip to India and he was whisked round to the local hospital and sorted quick smart. X

Wonderful way to finish off our holiday

We stayed for 4 wonderful nights in the Why house in November. We arrived tired after a long days travel to a lovely welcome from Henrietta and all her staff. We had such a relaxing stay there at the end of our holiday in Sri lanka. It is just the place to totally unwind, our room was secluded and quiet with all we needed -there was also books and magazines for the pool. My highlight was the food, it is a mix of Sri Lankan and western which was really interesting after eating all the traditional Sri Lankan dishes previously. All the fresh ingredients and flavours were amazing. It was overseen by Baboo with an excellent team -my standout favourites were the pancakes in the morning, the singapore noodles for lunch and the sticky toffee pudding. Henrietta provided recommendations for shopping, eating and the general area. Thank you all. Sent from Samsung tablet

Room Types

The Main House

The Main House is very Italianate in its design with imposing inner columns filling the central living area and a deep pillared veranda just outside for soaking salubriously in the balmy tropical climate. The three glorious guestrooms here all open onto the central living room and come with king size four-poster beds and French windows onto private garden view verandas furnished with dining tables. The front two suites also benefit from anterooms that feature deeply cushioned day beds. The huge central living space comes with cushy sofas and book-stacked tabletops, and makes the perfect venue for entertaining.

The Garden House Room

This separate building home to three bedrooms boasts soaring ceilings and spacious bedrooms that open directly onto their own private garden verandas. Two of the bedrooms opening onto the front and side garden come with split king platform beds, whilst the third split level bedroom with king size bed opens onto a rear veranda that doubles up as the spot for massages.

The Cabana Room

The two cabana bedrooms are immersed in the garden to the front of the property, just a few footsteps from the swimming pool. These two charming guestrooms sit side by side and feel quite secluded from the rest of the hotel.
