Shayamanzi Houseboats, the first houseboats in South Africa, are some of the best houseboats in Africa. Cruise along lake Jozini, view the beautiful scenery of the Lebombo mountains and most of all spot the wonderful wildlife that call the Pongola Game Reserve home. The Pongola Game Reserve is on the shores of Lake Jozini which is also known as the Pongolapoort Dam.
Spend your days leisurely taking in your surroundings, enjoy fishing for Tiger fish fishing and take an adventures mountain bike ride through the country. Relax in the Jacuzzi with a cool beverage in hand and spot game as you drift by.
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful to make sure that your time is the best it can be. Oak panelled cabin provided are incredibly comfortable as they all have en-suite with shower, basin and toilet plus plug points, hairdryers and fans. On deck there is a bar and restaurant serving delicious food.
Shayamanzi offer two houseboats with a choice of two or three nights' cruises. The houseboats are:
- Shayamanzi I is 25 Meter by 8 meter, double pontoon houseboat with 6 suites.
- Shayamanzi II is a 30 meter by 8.6 meter, double pontoon houseboat with 10 suites.
