Depart Johannesburg and travel to Mpumalanga – the Land of the Rising Sun – via the magnificent Panorama Route. The most spectacular stretch of the Panorama Route is the Blyde River Canyon – time and weather permitting, stop at God’s Window, offering magnificent views over the canyon.

Late afternoon check-in at your accommodation for two nights.

Depart on an open vehicle safari through Kruger National Park. Home to an impressive variety of flora and fauna, world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa and is the flagship of South African National Parks.

Relax in the afternoon with some leisure time or opt to go back to the park for an evening safari (payable locally).

Drive to the Royal Kingdom of Swaziland, a tiny mountainous location filled with African traditions and culture, beautiful scenery and attractions, such as game reserves, and art and craft outlets. Here you can enjoy a showcase of traditional Swazi culture followed by lunch at the Matsamo Cultural Village. See glass craftsmen at work and spend time at the Mbabane craft markets.

Transfer to the Ezulwini Valley and check in at your hotel for your overnight stay.

After a morning visit to the Swazi Candle Factory, continue via Big Bend into KwaZulu Natal – the Elephant Coast – for a scenic drive up the Ubombo Mountains which offers views over Lake Jozini.

Visit an authentic local Zulu homestead before checking in at your accommodation for two nights.

Spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon, you'll be driven to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, where the white rhino was saved from extinction, for an afternoon game drive.

Continue along the Elephant Coast to St Lucia for an estuarine boat trip to view crocodiles, hippo and numerous bird species. Move on to Durban – a buzzing city where east meets west – and check in at your hotel for your overnight stay.

Discover Durban during a morning city tour before your flight to Port Elizabeth. Upon arrival, transfer to your accommodation for your overnight stay.

Depart Port Elizabeth and travel via the coastline to the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park. Enjoy a walk along the suspension bridge across the Storms River mouth gorge, then continue to Plettenberg Bay and check in at your accommodation for two nights.

Today you will visit the Birds of Eden, the largest free-flight bird aviary in the world. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure or, time permitting, choose to go on a marine encounter boat trip (an extra charge applies) before returning to the lodge in time for dinner.

After breakfast, travel to the lagoon-side town of Knysna – a gem of the Garden Route. Here you will visit the Featherbed Nature Reserve. The trip includes a ferry across the lagoon to the base of the western Knysna Head, a drive to the top of the reserve, a delicious lunch and an optional downhill nature trail walk.

Enjoy time at leisure at the Knysna Waterfront Complex before travelling to Oudtshoorn, where you will have a guided tour of a working ostrich farm.

Take a morning tour of the Cango Caves before travelling to Cape Town. The Cango Caves are a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the great natural wonders of the world and have become a major drawcard to the Karoo area.

Full day Cape Point and Peninsula tour, passing beaches and picturesque coastal villages to the towering headland known as Cape Point. You'll feel like you're standing on the edge of the world at Cape Point, one of South Africa's southernmost spots. A trip here promises spectacular sights and breath-taking views of the surrounding bays, towering stone cliffs, beaches, rolling hills and valleys and can be explored just 60 kilometres outside of Cape Town. The summit is also home to an array of wildlife including pelagic birds, zebra and the common chacma baboon.

Drive a couple of hours out of Cape Town to the Cape Winelands, passing superb mountain ranges, vineyards and Cape Dutch homesteads. The Winelands boast some of the most majestic scenery in South Africa, a beautiful landscape of wine hills and mountains. South African wine is world-renowned, visit Franschhoek Cellar today to sample for yourself while you are in the Cape's wine region.

After a morning city tour of Cape Town, enjoy some free time before transferring back to the airport for your onward journey.
