Fill your thirst for history by checking out Dubai Creek and wandering through the Old Town, visit the Dubai Museum and Al Fahidi Fort. Some 200 years ago the fort was the premises of the monarch and a fort of defence. You can also explore the Hatta Heritage Village on the outskirts of Dubai, which is a small village over 2,000 years old.

Continue your historic learnings by visiting the battlefields of KwaZulu Natal, which is home to the largest amount of battles and wars fought on a single site in South Africa. Delve into the history of 82 battlefields, understand more about the wars at the museums and discover the old fortifications.

Marvel at the unique plants and flowers in the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, in Cape Town. This spectacular garden, which covers over 5 square kilometres of land, is right next to Table Mountain and has a large conservatory with savanna, fynbos, and karoo plants growing inside, as well as plenty of outdoor space displaying plants which are native to the region.

Spend several hours exploring the Cape of Good Hope, where you’ll find luscious deserted beaches, have the chance to wander around the beautiful national park and spot some of South Africa’s native birds.
