MalaMala Private Game Reserve

MalaMala Private Game Reserve

One of the largest private Big 5 game reserves in South Africa, MalaMala shares a 19km unfenced boundary with the world renowned Kruger National Park and 20kms of Sand River frontage, making it a spectacular location to experience unrivalled wildlife encounters.

MalaMala was the first privately owned and commercially operated game reserves in South Africa. Due to there being no shared traversing on 70% of the MalaMala property, this means that guests can enjoy an exclusive safari experience with uninterrupted game drives and no time limit on sightings. MalaMala Game Reserve consists of three camps; MalaMala Camp, Sable Camp and Rattray's Camp, all which vary ever so slightly in decor, room facilities and service. All guests receive the same safari experience with morning and afternoon game drives, coffee in the bush and sundowners in the evening, along with other activities including walking safaris.
