Was that a Pangolin?

East Grinstead, United Kingdom

Gomo Gomo game lodge exceeded my expectations! What an amazing corner of the world! All the staff where so friendly and accommodating! We had chalet #2 which had a lovely view of the watering hole. There where a couple of squirrels lol but it added to our experience. We ate by the campfire every night and shared stories and experiences which I really enjoyed! The WiFi worked but I felt cut off from the world which was also really nice! to be so submerged in nature! This really was the ultimate place to go for me and I will cherish the time my husband and I spent here! Hardis (what a good guy) was our ranger who worked great as a team with our tracker Dominic to scour the land for the big 5! We where so fortunate to see Lions, Hyena, Rhinos, Leopards, Hippos, Elephants, Giraffes, Zebra, Water Buffalo, Kudos, An Array of different Birds and wild dogs! It Really was such an amazing holiday! We also where lucky enough to go on a couple of drives out with Gert who shared a common interest of photography and has a real passion for nature and birds which was the icing on the cake for our stay here! The rangers are experienced and you can tell they love what they do. I just want to say Thank you to all of you who made our holiday so Memorable! It didn’t feel like you where just doing a job... it felt more personal than that. Thank you to Nommy and all the staff at Gomo Gomo who make the lodge such a great place to stay! The food was great, the staff where great, the Safari experience was second to none! If you haven’t already book with Gomo Gomo you won’t be disappointed! The only disappointment came for me when it was time to say good bye! 🦏🦒🦓🐘🐆

Great for a family safari

Stayed at Gomo Gomo for 4 nights as a family of 4 with our 2 boys aged 14 & 12. The lodge is situated in the area of Klasseri, which neighbours Timbavati & Kruger National Park. Unlike Thornybush, there are no fences between the privately owned areas of Timbavati & Klasseri or Kruger National Park and this means that the animals you see are truly roaming free around a massively vast area - in other words, it's real! When you arrive you will be welcomed by Carina, who runs the place - Check in is very relaxed and informal as Gomo Gomo lodge is quite an intimate place. We stayed in a 2 bedroom family lodge which was the perfect size for the 4 of us. Bathrooms are a good size and well equipped. Food was excellent, the chefs clearly work hard on their menus and preparation. I loved the fact that everyone in the lodge, including staff and Rangers all sat down at the same time for meals and it was incredibly sociable. Dinner was outdoors around a huge fire pit with breakfast & lunch being served indoors. Our ranger, Hardus & his tracker Cazzi were excellent. Hardus is clearly very passionate about the animals and the lodge and we loved that he was always prepared to go off road and deep into the bush to get you close to the animals. Hardus was great at talking to our kids and always making sure they were involved and having fun. If you're looking for a real Safari experience, great value for money, in a truly sociable environment with great food and people, this place cannot be beaten! Thank you Gomo Gomo for an awesome first Safari experience!
