Relax in the South African countryside

Retreat to Babylonstoren for a relaxed getaway in a wonderfully peaceful location.

Set in meticulously kept gardens, this historic Cape Dutch farm has been carefully converted to offer elegant accommodation in addition to a well-maintained gym, spa, and swimming pool. Stay here and you will also enjoy access to the wine cellar, farm shop and bakery.

Unwind with a book, enjoy a relaxing treatment in the Garden Spa, bird-watch in the beautiful gardens or partake in a wine tasting activity which includes a guided tour that takes you through the wine making process. There is a great choice of restaurants to try, including simple, fresh and delicious food at Greenhouse; the bakery – offering freshly made pizzas on Wednesdays and Fridays; and Babel, set in the converted cow shed. There is even a healing garden for picking fresh herbs to make soothing teas – bookings are essential for all, however hotel guests get priority.

Unmatched

Naples, Florida

This is the ultimate stay for anyone who enjoys luxury, great food and a picture of the past cleverly blended with the modern world. Babylonstoren is a luxury hotel set on a working farm. The service, attention to detail and amenities are first class ranging from the spas to the room appointments. The bicycles that are available for guests to use allow for quick transport to see the many aspects of what is going on throughout the day. This is a unique place that should be at the top of anyone's list visiting the wine lands outside of Cape Town. Most strongly recommend!

Magical

Toronto, Canada

This is by far the best place we visited in our three weeks in Africa. The rooms are amazing and each one is different and so beautifully appointed. The garden is beyond words and so inspirational. Babel was lovely and delicious. We were four couples travelling together and we all loved everything about Babylonstoren.
