Delightful Stay

We spent 5 nights at Cape Grace in a luxury roof top Room. The location is fantastic right across the bridge (bascule) from the V&A waterfront which has shopping & many restaurants to choose from. The customer service is outstanding here. You’re greeted with “welcome home” each time you enter the hotel. At check in, you’re seated at a desk rather than standing at a counter & the team member walks you to your room. Cape grace offers a chauffeured car service for nearby trips. All of the staff are amazingly friendly. The concierge staff are also very helpful. They have thought of every convenience in the room. Even down to air freshener in the toilet room. There is also a Warming rack for the bath towels. You get to choose a window of time for housekeeping to clean your room. They have books for you to read & a program to facilitate book return if you don’t have a chance to finish the book. There is a clothes line across the tub. Speaking of the tub, the room had a beautiful soaking tub but can’t use it due to the drought. They also recommend very short showers to help with the water conservation efforts. They also have complimentary shoe shine. The black out curtains in the room are fantastic & the Ac/heater works well. We’ve slept great here. Breakfast was included with the Room. You can choose to have breakfast in Cape Grace’s Signals restaurant or delivered to your room. There Is a nice continental buffet & you get to also order a hot item. As far as dinner, we are at signals our 1st night. We enjoyed it but there are lots of options in Cape Town. For whiskey fans the Bascule bar has over 500 whiskies! The only negative I can think of is the 1st morning we could hear & feel Vibration in the walls from boats getting worked on outside the room. But we weren’t in the room much after breakfast so it wasn’t a big deal. As an aside, We learned Bill Clinton stayed here when president & has come back several times. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cape Town & our stay at Cape Grace. Definitely recommend.
